WHAT’S BEST FOR BUSINESS, IT MATTERS HOW YOU LOSE, PROPS TO DAVE MELTZER AND MORE

With all the buzz Joe Hendry has been generating recently, do you think it hurts his momentum to have him repeatedly lose in world title matches?  Would it make more sense to keep him out of the title picture until they are ready to have him win either the Impact or NXT heavyweight championship?

As with all booking, it depends on how it is done. Look at Jey Uso, he lost and lost and lost and yet when he won the IC Title, it meant a lot!

Is the Dave Meltzer that I saw on the Vince McMahon docuseries really the same Dave Meltzer that I see and hear on social media?

He is indeed. Meltzer came off very well on the Netflix documentary, much differently than he does on social media.  I prefer the Netflix version.

I see people online, who don’t like you, say that you make up questions. I know you don’t since you have answered many of mine here. Don’t they realize that any time you have something that you want to say, you write a column or a do a hotline about it?

Probably not I guess.  I truly have no idea what makes their special minds work the way that they do and I hope to keep it that way!

Did you see the social media video of Swerve Strickland saying that AEW will be on both WBD and FOX?

I did see it and hope he is right on the money. A strong, profitable AEW is the best thing for the business overall.  That's what I want to see, a strong, thriving wrestling business.

The Vince documentary had 4.9 million views on Netflix on the launch week. Is there anything to glean from that when anticipating RAW's viewership once it makes the jump to Netflix? More viewers? Fewer? About the same?

I would love to give insight but it would just be me guessing. I hope that it is a precursor to what Raw will do, for a few reasons. One, I want Netflix to be happy with the deal because that is what's best for business, as I said above. Two, I have always taken Nielsen ratings with a grain of salt.  They are an extrapolation. Nielsen’s data is direct.
