RAW ON NETFLIX, PEOPLE LOOKING FOR SLIGHTS THAT I DON’T SEE BEING THERE, WWE IN SAUDI ARABIA AND MORE

I saw the question today about how to measure the success of RAW on Netflix and your answer being we may not be able to really know the answer until if Netflix decided to renew after 5 years or not. But, since RAW will have new episodes every week, wouldn't the way to gauge it be if it is consistently listed in the Top 10 TV Shows on Netflix. In my opinion since there will be new episodes each week if RAW is not consistently in the top 10 TV shows then that would indicate it is not performing well. Usually the top 10 TV Shows on Netflix are new seasons, new series, new comedy specials that were just added so with new episodes each week this has to be a good indicator.

I don’t know anything about how Netflix tracks things (yet) but that would seem to be pretty reasonable. I would expect that Raw should be one of the top watched shows on Netflix as well.  If it’s not, that is probably not a good omen.

With Monday Night RAW moving to two hours this Monday, do you think it might be possible for some episodes not to have a women's match on the show, or are they a thing of the past as the WWE wants to promote gender equality?

I think people spend way too much time on things like if women are getting pushed, if black wrestlers are getting pushed, if Martian wrestlers are being pushed, it’s ridiculous to me. HHH’s first question at his Bad Blood post game show press conference was about why there were no black wrestlers on the show. The implication was it was due to racism. It wasn’t. Look at the five matches on the show. In addition to them featuring many people of color, they all involved people with significant issues, thus warranting being on the show.  I have never believed in squeezing in people just to make some imaginary number. The shows are about what the booker thinks is most important in that moment. If that means there isn’t a women’s match, a match with a black person, or a match with a Martian on the show, that’s how it will be.

Yes I know it is a money spinner for WWE and most sporting events that go to Saudi Arabia but why do WWE go to Saudi Arabia apart from the money because I for one refuse to watch any WWE event that goes to Saudi Arabia on the WWE network because of there human rights, I feel that WWE and any other sporting event should point blank refuse to work Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries until they improve there human rights record and if they don’t improve it then they should not be going there. I would like your guys thoughts on this.

You have every right to feel as you do and you are not alone.  A lot of people feel as you do about WWE running in Saudi Arabia. The flip side is that WWE isn’t breaking any laws running there. They have an obligation to maximize the value of their stock to their shareholders and Saudi Arabia pays them very, very well.

AEW puts on social media a video chronicle of Nigel's time in ROH, which they own the footage of, only to use the version of the footage that was granted to WWE 5 years ago to make their own Nigel documentary, including WWE trademarks.  How many more goof ups will it take for Tony to put competent people in roles (including his own)?

Given the many we have had already I have no confidence that Tony will ever address those things unless he is forced to.

Back before Covid, I remember Rob Gronkowski signed with WWE to big acclaim. He appeared at WM 36 and then shortly thereafter went back to the NFL to play with the Bucs and win a Super Bowl. What was the general plan with him before he left, covid took over. Etc.? Was he going thought to be what Logan Paul is now for WWE?

As I remember it, he was brought in to be a personality more than a full time wrestler. He was going off of his “Gronk brings the fun” deal at the time. I know he had aspirations in broadcasting beyond football, which he is doing for FOX now. I never heard that he wanted to dedicate the time to being a wrestler.
