What can AEW do to reverse their attendance woes?

They can spend more money on localized advertising to let people who aren't watching the programming know they are in the area, but what they will really need is a lot of time and patience to rebuild things.  They had a great first wave of excitement.  Then, when COVID lockdowns ended, they had a lot of tickets sold for events and people who just wanted to get out and enjoy themselves again.  Now, they run very, very long tapings, most of which can be seen on television,  The PPVs likely hold up stronger because they have the aura of being an "event" and AEW needs to get the tapings to be seen as that sort of event again.    There is no magic fix.  This sort of thing takes time, sometimes years to course correct.

What the hell happened to New Japan?  I tried watching some recent episodes on The Fight Network and it seems like it's a shell of itself?

Well, it feels that way because right now, it pretty much is and is in a rebuilding phase.  They lost a lot of talents including Will Ospreay, Jay White and Kazuchika Okada to AEW.    Hiroshi Tanahashi is showing the signs of all the years he put on his body creating classic matches.  The next generation isn't there yet.  It's going to take time for any sort of resurgence.

I was watching some FCW footage online and Richie Steamboat, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Ricky the Dragon, was pretty damn good.  Whatever happened that he's not in WWE?

Steamboat suffered a pretty serious back injury that required surgery in 2012.  He never returned to the ring and eventually moved on from the business.

Whatever happened to Matt Sydal?

After a lot of years of wrestling hurt on a foot that was badly injured in a motorcycle accident, he had surgery to repair the issues and is still recovering.  No word on what the timetable is for his return.

What was the name of the wrestling company that ran on MTV for a bit?

There were two at different times.  Wrestling Society X, which ran for one 10 episode season and Lucha Libre USA, which ran for I believe two seasons.  Neither made much of a dent, despite their best efforts.

Any word on a new home for the NWA?

Nothing yet.  We've been told by those in their circle there is something coming, but what that may be, nothing additional.

Is RVD under a WWE Legends deal?

Yes, he has been since he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
