The Rock's new Christmas action film Red One topped the weekend box office, although the film only hit the $34 million range, a far distance from its reported $200-$250 million budget. The film, which is expected to hit Prime Video next month, was originally going to be streaming only, but the decision was made to take it theatrical. Since the film was originally only going to stream, some in the entertainment world have given it's low box office success a pass.
Next up for The Rock will be the animated Moana 2, which is expected to be a massive hit Thanksgiving weekend. The.. live action version of Moana, which will feature Dwayne Johnson playing Maui yet again, is currently shooting in Hawaii.
The Last Showgirl starring Pamela Anderson and featuring Dave Bautista in a supporting role, will hit theaters on 1/10/25. The film has gotten great early reviews for each of their performances.
