By Mike Johnson on 2024-11-19 17:48:00

CNN is reporting that former WWF head Linda McMahon is "expected to be named"  secretary of the Department of Education by President-Elect Donald Trump.  McMahon previously served on The State iof Connecticut's Board of Education back in 2009.

The Secretary of Education is responsible for the overall direction, supervision, and coordination of all activities of the Department.  In that role, McMahon would be the principal adviser to the President on federal policies, programs, and activities related to education in the United States.

McMahon ran and failed McMahon to run for U.S. Senator in 2009.    After losing, she attempted to run again in 2012 but was unsuccessful a second time.

McMahon served as administrator of the Small Business Administration from 2017 to 2019 during Trump's first Presidential run.    The Trump and McMahon family have a relationship dating back to the 1980s when Trump's now-defunct casino hosted Wrestlemania IV and V in Atlantic City.    Trump has made a number of appearances in WWE storylines over the years.
