The Washington Post ran a long piece this evening on Linda McMahon being named the secretary of Education for the impending Trump Presidential regime, specifically focusing on different WWE and Vince McMahon scandals. While much of it recounts information already publicly known or in the case of the Janel Grant and Ringboy lawsuits, material that has been covered here on PWInsider.com, some highlights from the piece:
*Linda McMahon's attorney Laura Brevetti told the outlet that she and Vince McMahon are currently separated - which would be the first time that has been publicly addressed.
*If the Brevetti name sounds familiar, it should. She was one of the attorneys who represented Vince McMahon in his 1994 criminal trial.
*On the lawsuit recently filed by a number of former ring boys alleging abuse and that the McMahons were aware of it, Brevetti commented, “This lawsuit based upon thirty-plus-year-old allegations is filled with scurrilous lies, exaggerations, and misrepresentations." Linda is a defendant in that lawsuit.
*On the possibility that The Justice Department once Trump gets into power upends the current investigation into Vince McMahon, Janel Grant's attorney commented, “We have no control over what happens with any criminal investigation, but we have an unwavering will to see that Janel gets justice."
