The family of Richard Harris, who performed for many years as Black Bart in a number of promotions, including the WWF, World Class Championship Wrestling, The NWA and The UWF announced that he has made the decision to stop chemotherapy in his battle against liver cancer, feeling that the treatment was not helping his quality of life.
Bart has returned home after being discharged from the care facility he was in as it was determined physical therapy was no longer assisting him. He is now unable to walk. Harris' Facebook page noted he is "in God's hands now."
Contrary to rumors currently making the rounds, Harris has not passed away, but obviously, things are not well for him.
This past January, a book on Bart's life and career, Wrestle Black Bart, was released by author Vinny Berry. For more details or to order the book, click here.
