The XL Center in Hartford, CT, which hosted Wrestlemania 11 back in 1995 when it was known as the Hartford Civic Center, issued the following as it undergoes major renovations that are expected to be completed in the summer of 2025:
As you may have seen, XL Center is undergoing a groundbreaking transformation—a $145 million renovation that will redefine live sports and entertainment in Hartford. With a complete reimagining of the venue, we’re elevating many aspects of the experience for fans, artists, and athletes alike.

This isn’t just an upgrade; it’s the start of a new era for XL Center—one that will make it a top-tier venue in North America.
As part of the renovation, the venue will now be configured for 15,000 seats. The venue previously had over 16,000 as its capacity.
