Will Ospreay has a fantastic arsenal of moves. Yet, Ospreay’s finisher, The Hidden Blade, is weak AF and is visually unimpressive. Do you feel the Oscutter is cooler and a more exciting choice for a finisher? What are your thoughts of The Hidden Blade as Ospreay’s finisher - when he so many other scintillating moves to choose from?
Ospreay can do a lot of things but in my opinion, having too many finishers to choose from is not a good thing. The idea of a finisher is that it finishes. If it can be done and not end matches, it’s a transition move. With that said, I wish Ospreay, and wrestlers like him, would just pick one move that when they hit it, it does the job almost all of the time.
What is Bruce Prichard's WWE role actually? What does he do day to day? I know he is in gorilla with Triple H during the shows, but what else does he do? Does he produce segments still or is that in the past?
He is the Executive Director of the creative team, which means he oversees the storylines and character development and oversees the writers. I haven’t asked if he still regularly produces segments so I can’t comment on that. It’s funny with Bruce. A lot of people assumed that once Vince McMahon was out, Bruce would be too. I said not so fast folks. He gave Vince McMahon what HE wanted, not necessarily what Bruce wanted. I figured he would get a chance to do the same thing for Paul Levesque and he did. He has done a great job.
With the news of Jim Smallman becoming an international talent scout for WWE, do you think that bodes well for either NXT Europe FINALLY starting or international WWE ID signings? I can't imagine they'd bring someone in for the role when they already were fine if they didn't have some kind of plans, right?
Given his history with the company and connections to the late, super great NXT UK, I like the hire. I honestly don’t know if we will ever see another NXT outside of the US. Under Vince McMahon, we had a chance but TKO is more about generating revenue and I don’t know that they would see the need to start a developmental territory outside of the US when they have one already in the US.
What is with Twitter accounts making up fake stories and then citing you guys? I see it happen every week. They usually get bullied into taking them down or get community notes, but what is the point? It is usually something mean too, like "Lyra Valkyria released". Why do that?
One thing I have always been happy about in life is that I have never understood why losers do the things that they do. Maybe they were dropped on their head as a kid. Maybe they are just pathetic. I have no idea why they do the things that they do and I am glad that I don’t.
Could you see Nick Khan leaving his position in the WWE soon? I ask this because I just don't think he sees WWE as his end goal, I could see heading towards bigger conglomerates like Paramount, Apple, Disney, etc. The company is red hot right now, the media negotiations are done, they keep breaking attendance and gate records, what else is there to do?
First off there is always a new mountain to climb with a company like WWE. With that said, I don’t know the man so I can’t comment on what his future career aspirations are so I can’t say whether he leave, let alone whether it will be soon. He’s a vital cog in the WWE machine, undoubtedly.
