Did PWInsider ever report there was anger towards Penta over going long on Monday?
No, we did not.
We reported there were some who weren't thrilled with having their time cut in later segments.
Those are two very different things.
If there was heat on Penta, certainly there would also be heat on Chad Gable, since they were in the ring together, right?
There was no heat on anyone, nor did we ever report there was. But, if you are planning a match or promo out and suddenly, you have time cut, that's going to be a little frustrating or annoying, right? That's what I wrote about.
It wasn't even something we made a headline, as if we were trying to get people to click on a story. It was something mentioned in the SAME STORY that said management was happy with the debut and happy with his early merchandise sales. We mentioned all of that, but some, who don't actually read the site, instead saw versions of our story that were incorrectly stated elsewhere on other websites or social media.
Unfortunately, we cannot control what stupidity abounds elsewhere and even more unfortunately, we can't control when those who come said stupidity have a knee-jerk reaction to something that is written specifically to try and get them upset on social media so they then engage with the accounts trying to make money off their anger engagement.
Now, these folks should be angry they wasted their time. Instead, they will move onto the next quasi-controversy they are baited into caring about.
This is why I hardly spend time on social media. I know you asked the question here but the reality is you can't really respond to the stupidity because it's a waste of time. You can't change the current of the water. If you try, you are told you were "gotten to" by people who want to criticize what others work to achieve while they themselves have achieved zero beyond learning to type with their thumbs on a phone.

Why would people go read some bullshit version on Twitter vs. PWInsider?
The same reason people get news via TikTok instead of reading articles in a legitimate outlet or watching a news broadcast. Some people just want it quick and free and sent to their phones. Yet, quick and free doesn't mean legitimate and verified. Why someone would want to support people who aggregate others' hard work (getting it wrong in the process), I can't tell you. but it's sad because they believe the first thing they see or assume. We saw that with the Corey Graves story this past week too, with a lot of people assuming IT HAS TO BE A WORK. It doesn't. Lots of people assumed garbage about what we reported because someone incorrectly relayed what was actually written. That doesn't mean we were wrong. it means someone else failed to do their job for their readers accurately, but there will be no consequences for them, because it's a medium where they and their readers are onto the next trending quasi-controversy. For those people, however, they will think "PWInsider got it wrong", but they would be incorrect and/or idiots. To those folks writing some talents "weren't thrilled" about time being cut somehow means those talents hate Penta with all their heart. Sorry, that's incorrect and if someone believes that incorrect version, they are being idiotic.

Is Penta paying tribute to Scott Hall with his entrance?
I can see that. I've never heard that was the case.
