Rhea Ripley walks in the garage and she is attacked by Nia Jax and Nia with a running hip or two against the fencing.
Adam Pearce calls for a medic and Rhea Ripley does not want any help.
Jey Uso makes his way to the ring.
Jey says he is now in your city. Jey says Yeet and then he says this weekend . . . Saturday night's main event . . . he is taking home the big one.
Gunther interrupts the Yeet Session and he makes his way to the ring.
Gunther says that the next thing Jey was going to say was going to be that he is going to be the new champion.
He says Jey is a funny little man. He says that is not going to happen on Saturday. Last week, you looked him in the eye and you said that you look at yourself in the mirror and you bet on yourself. Gunther says he was looking forward to facing Main Event Jey Uso . . . until today when he saw Jey walking in here looking like the conversation last week meant nothing. You looked like a complete dork and the company mascot.
It does not matter to him. He says he could be challenged by Jimmy Uso.
Jey starts to talk and Gunther asks Jey what was he going to say because it doesn't matter. You never back up what you say. Gunther says the people are naive enough to believe Jey.
Gunther says he does not. Bet on yourself until your cousin whistles for you? When Sami needs you? When your brother needs you? When Cody needs you? You are a useful idiot. Your words and your actions do not align. Gunther says his do. Gunther tells Jey on Saturday, when the bell rings, he is going to expose him as a flash in the pan who has no business being this close to the World Championship.
Jey says Gunther is right again. Everything out of your mouth is true again. Jey says he is the mascot. He says this is his team. This is his squad. They ride with him . . . slide with him . . . and will be with him when he wins the title on Saturday. Jey says he respects Gunther but Gunther is going to put some respect on his name. There is only one person in the ring who has main evented Wrestlemania and it wasn't you.
Gunther punches Jey and Jey with a double leg take down and punches. Jey pulls Gunther's jacket over his head and he throws punches. Jey with a super kick and Gunther goes to the floor.
Jey picks up the title belt and places it on the mat.
Gunther gets his belt back.
Kofi and Woods walk in the back and they see JBL. They say that JBL understands them.
Kofi points out that JBL is the guest commentator for his match against the hypocrite, Rey Mysterio.
Kofi says JBL knows him because he had to get rid of the dead weight to be his most successful.
JBL says everyone loves Big E. Now they have to pay attention to Kofi and Woods . . . he guesses.
Kofi and Woods think JBL has turned on them.
Cathy Kelley is with Bayley and Cathy asks about her match against Nia and an announcement.
Bayley says she is now back on Raw. She says it feels good to be back here. She says it feels good and it feels right. Bayley says she is in the Royal Rumble. She reminds everyone that she won last year and she is looking forward to going back to back. She could face Tiffany Stratton or Rhea Ripley.
Nia Jax shows up and she says she will take care of Tiffany Stratton and she will win the Royal Rumble.
Bayley dares Nia to do to her what she did to Rhea.
John Bradshaw Layfield has joined Wade and Cole on commentary for the next match.
Kofi and Woods demand that the music be stopped since they aren't using that any more.
Kofi says the crowd is pissing him off with all of this. He says they have been doing this for too long to be disrespected. They are hall of famers, unlike this fraud and he takes back his money from JBL.
Match Number One: Rey Mysterio versus Kofi Kingston (with Xavier Woods)
Kofi with a side head lock and Rey escapes. Rey with a waist lock and Kofi with a standing switch and a take down. Kofi slaps Rey in the head. They lock up and Rey with a wrist lock. Kofi with a reversal. Rey with a reversal into a side head lock. Kofi with a shoulder tackle. Rey with a head scissors take down and a drop kick into the knees to send Kofi into the ropes. Kofi avoids the 619 and then he pulls Rey off the apron. Kofi with a European uppercut and forearms in the corner. Kofi with kicks to Rey. Kofi with a pendulum kick. Rey goes for a sunset flip power bomb over the top rope to the floor but Kofi holds on. Kofi sets for a power bomb on the floor and Rey escapes but lands on his back. Kofi with kicks to the midsection.
Kofi sends Rey into the apron. Rey counters a power bomb and he sends Kofi into the ring steps. Rey sends Kofi into the ring steps many times. Rey gets back into the ring to break the count. Kofi gets back into the ring and Woods grabs Rey's leg while the referee is distracted when Rey tries to get back into the ring. Kofi trips Rey and he connects with forearms from the floor while Rey hangs over the rope. Kofi with a boot to the head. Kofi goes up tp and he hits an elbow to the back of the neck for a near fall. Kofi with another near fall. Kofi with an arm bar and Rey gets back to his feet. Kofi takes Rey to the mat.
Kofi with a punch to Rey and Rey punches back. They exchange punches. Rey with a flying forearm to Kofi. Rey goes up top and Kofi stops him with forearms. Kofi sets for a superplex. Rey with a wrist lock and he bites the hand. Rey with a seated splash and he misses a springboard cross body. Kofi with a sunset flip and Rey rolls through and hits a drop kick for a near fall because you do not sunset flip Rey Mysterio. Rey with punches but Kofi gets into the ropes. Kofi with a thumb to the eyes and he hits Shadows over Hell for a near fall. Kofi goes for Trouble in Paradise but misses. Kofi is sent into the ropes by Rey and Woods trips Rey when he goes for the 619.
The referee sends Woods to the back. Rey knocks Woods off the apron. Kofi with a forearm to the back of the head. Rey with a victory roll to send Kofi into the ropes. Rey with a 619 but Kofi gets the knees up for the splash and Kofi gets a near fall. Kofi goes for SOS but Rey avoids it and Rey with a rollup for the three count.
Winner: Rey Mysterio
After the match, Woods attacks Rey and Kofi joins in.
The music for the LWO plays and Woods and Kofi leave the ring.
Cruz and Wilde check on Rey.
Wilde is pulled from the ring by Kofi and Woods sends Wilde into the ring post.
We take a look back at Penta's debut last week.
Cathy is in the back with American Made behind him yelling at the Creeds and Ivy.
Chad says he has been the talk of the wrestling world. He had problems with Penta last week and issues with Dragon Lee and Rey before. Chad says he has talked to a man who knows about lucha and it is a man with a mustache, Dominik Mysterio.
Ivy says there is a women's Intercontinental Title match with her name with it. Julius and Brutus say that they are coming after the tag titles.
Sami Zayn walks in the back.
Jackie Redmond is with Karrion Kross and Scarlett.
Kross talks about what they did to a fan and he says it was romantic.
Jackie asks what is next with the Wyatts leaving. He says he beat Howdy and there is no need to talk about it. Jackie asks about Miz and Kross says he is on assignment. Jackie asks where is his focus. Kross says there is a lot of talented competition. One person he is looking at is Seth Rollins. Another is CM Punk. Another person is Sami Zayn. He says Sami has a way of justifying what he does. He is joining forces with the Bloodline and then he is fighting Roman's cousins. He likes Sami because he is about the money. Kross says he does not believe what Sami is saying.
Jackie asks if Kross has an issue with Sami and he says we will have to see.
Jackie mentions Sami is next.
Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring.
Sami says he is not going to beat around the bush. He says he talked to Adam Pearce and he says he is in the Royal Rumble. He says Seth told him he was helping too many people and he needs to think about himself. Sami says he started to think about himself. He started thinking about 14 year old him and the dream to become a wrestler. He mentions only a small group who can call themselves a WWE Superstar and how few get to call themselves among the top echelon and he is there now. Sami says he is every bit as good as everyone in that group. Those men are in the Rumble. The only difference between him and those people is that they have a World Title to their name.
Sami says he has had a great life and career. He says he does not need the title to complete him because of the support he has received. That meant more than any title. He does not NEED the World Championship, but he wants it. Fourteen year old him wants it and he is still with him. Sami says he is going to take it.
Kevin Owens' music interrupts and he makes his way to the way with his title belt and a Bret Hart jacket.
Sami says he knew it would be a matter of time before he came. He asks how do you want to do this.
Kevin wants to know what Sami means.
Sami says the world saw what happened when Cody teamed with Roman.
Kevin says he is not here for that. He didn't understand why Sami teamed with Roman at War Games. It is not like when Cody teamed with Roman. Kevin says Sami and Roman had a lot of history, just like they do. Roman did some terrible things that he did to you and you overlooked. Kevin says he did a lot of things and Sami forgave him. That is who Sami is. He is a good person. You do a lot for other people, especially your friends.
Kevin says Sami is his best friend, more like a brother. He says that Sami can and will win the Royal Rumble. He knows that the Sami Zayn he has known for twenty years will win the Royal Rumble. Sami deserves to win the Rumble and wrestle for the championship at Wrestlemania. They can accomplish something together. They main evented Wrestlemania and won the tag titles. They have never main evented Wrestlemania for the WWE Championship. If . . . when you win the Royal Rumble, you will get to do that. As long as Kevin walks out of the Royal Rumble as champion. Kevin says he knows both of those things are going to happen.
Kevin says Sami will win the Royal Rumble because he has Sami's back. He knows he will walk out of the Royal Rumble as champion because he knows that Sami has his back, like Sami had Roman's back. Kevin says he knows that as his brother, if he needs him, he knows that Sami will be there.
Cathy is with Sheamus and she asks him about his match against Bron Breakker on Saturday. She asks why is the IC title so important. Sheamus says he has the perfect career backwards. He beat John Cena for the World title six months into his career. The IC title is what drew him to WWE. He has come so close. The stars are aligned and he beat Bron for the title that he never won. Sheamus says Let's Go Irish.
Bron Breakker shows up and he tells Sheamus to look at the title. He says it is his and this is as close as Sheamus will get to it. He says he will break Sheamus like an old man. Bron tells Sheamus to retire.
Bayley walks in the back.
Nia Jax also walks in the back.
Jackie Redmond is with Ludwig Kaiser. She asks him about his match last week and that Sheamus has an IC title match.
Kaiser says everyone knows that he goes to war with Sheamus and that is what they did. Going to war also means the risk of losing and that happened. He says it is all good. He might not be on a direct path to a title but deep down in his heart, he knows he will get there. Kaiser says he is not worried because there is no one to be worried about. Sami Zayn. Bron Breakker. The man he is least impressed with is Penta.
Jackie brings up Penta's debut last week.
Kaiser says Penta will get what is coming to him on his time. He says his time with Jackie is done.
