MLW SUPERFIGHT 6 REPORT: RIDDLE DEFENDS THE WORLD TITLE, A NEW CHALLENGER FOR MISTICO?, WHO WORE THE HONEY TONIGHT?, AND ABOUT THOSE 'CLASSIFIED' DOCUMENTS?

By Richard Trionfo on 2025-02-08 23:00:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com’s coverage of MLW SuperFight 6.

Your announcers are Christian Cole and Joe Dombrowski.

Eric Bischoff makes his way to the ring.

Eric says it is so good to be back in Atlanta.  The home of WCW and some of the greatest moments in the history of pro wrestling.  He says this building will always have a special place in his heart.  Speaking of special moments, he says he wants to share something that means so much to him.  He says he was awarded the Ted Turner Lifetime Achievement Award last night at a private dinner.

Bischoff wants to know what took them so long.  He put this city on the map and he revolutionized professional wrestling into what it is today.  He says as much as he loved WCW, MLW is feeling a lot bigger since he showed up.  Things are electric and it feels bigger.  They are becoming 'must see'.  Eric says people are asking about what is in that envelope.  Eric says it will be revealed before the end of the night.

The music for the BOMAYE Fight Club plays and Alex Kane, Mr. Thomas, and Faye Jackson make their way to the stage.

Alex tells the jive turkey to cut the noise.  This whole homecoming charade.  We know it is a ploy to pad that oversized ego of yours.  Alex says Eric shut him out and disrespected him.  You thought you could shut the door on the suplex assassin.  He enters the ring and he tells Eric he is still standing and still suplexing.  Tonight, he walks out with the MLW Championship on his shoulder.

Eric asks if Alex is still upset over what happened in December.  He calls Alex thin skinned.  Eric says if you want him to regret what happened and his decision, he will give Alex his shot.  If you want to go one on one?  They will do it.  No ref, no bell, no time limit.  A straight up fight.  There have to be stakes.  You lay one finger on him and you are done for the night.  No Triple Threat and no shot at the World Championship.

Alex asks if the people want to see him suplex this ho into retirement.

Eric reminds Alex he is a black belt.  He is a human freaking weapon.  He tells Alex he should be afraid.  Everyone is a tough guy until they get their teeth kicked down their throats in front of their family.

Thomas tells Alex to save his energy for the title fight tonight.

Alex tells Eric he got lucky, but this ain't over, by a long shot.

Eric says he isn't going anywhere.

Alex grabs Eric's achievement award and Eric tells him to put it down.  Alex tosses it into the crowd and Eric tells security to get him out of here.  He tells Alex to warm up in the parking lot and he can train behind the dumpsters.

Eric says that is some bulls***.  He says it is time to roll the open and get this party started.
