During his appearance on The Logan Paul podcast, Michael Cole was asked about the Corey Graves situation from a few weeks back.
Cole said, "That's a strange situation. He said something on social media that was critical of the company and then tried to explain that he was just trying to generate a storyline."
Cole's comments confirmed PWInsider.com's reporting on the event, which was that Graves decided to comment on the decision to move him to NXT as he was unhappy about the situation. WWE sent him home instead of Graves appearing as originally planned on that week's NXT. Graves later deleted his social media comments and returned the following week, with his comments never being directly referenced on WWE programming.
While there was incorrect reporting that the situation was some sort of storyline work, that was never, ever the case, as we noted at the time.
On his own podcast, Booker T noted he and Graves "were not cool, not cool at all", explaining, "Certain things, I don’t know, shouldn’t be in the Twittersphere, just because I don’t think it’s their business, especially when it come to your jobs. Everybody want to put their lives on Twitter with their followers and everybody to be a part of their lives. I don’t know, I don’t get that part right there. For me, I’m so glad I’m so disconnected from that stage of life."
