PROSECUTORS DECLINE TO PRESS CHARGES AGAINST FORMER AEW TALENT THOMAS 'BOULDER' WANSAW, CASE CLOSED

By Mike Johnson on 2025-03-08 14:16:00

Katrina Teressa Mosciski, Assistant State Attorney for The Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida filed paperwork on Thursday 3/6 affirming that there would be no criminal charges pursued against former AEW talent Thomas Wansaw, aka Boulder of The Iron Savages tag team and that the case was now closed.

The court filing noted:

"COMES NOW the State of Florida, by and through the undersigned Assistant State Attorney and states that: 1. From the investigation which has been made, it is the opinion of the writer that this case is not suitable for prosecution. 2. This action is taken to clear the records and to release subject's bond if any has been posted responsive to the above charge(s). If in custody, defendant should be released. PROVIDED THERE ARE NO OTHER CHARGES OR HOLDS AGAINST HIM"

The victim in the incident that saw Wansaw arrested on 1/13 on charges of battery by strangulation filed a statement requesting that he not be prosecuted.

In a document that was signed on 1/15 but added to court records on 2/28, the victim (who PWInsider.com is not naming) stated, "I am by the execution of this document, advising the State Attorney's Office, Orange County, Florida that I do not desire the case to be prosecuted further, and request the charges be dismissed."

AEW quietly released Wansaw after learning of his arrest.

Wansaw has not publicly commented on his arrest.  He has not wrestled since 1/11, several days before his arrest.
