Hello everyone, and welcome to my recap of Coastal Championship Wrestling's Breakout 46! We’re live from the CCW Arena in Pompano, Florida. Let’s get straight to the action with our first match of the night—featuring a couple of fresh faces in the ring.
Match 1: The Italian Superman Matteo Giro vs. The Cuban Missile Armando Fonseca
Both men are making their CCW debuts tonight. The Italian Superman, a former heavyweight boxing champion from Italy, is definitely one to keep an eye on.
They lock up early, with Matteo showing off his superior strength, backing Fonseca into the corner. Armando responds with some slick footwork, trying to gain the upper hand, but the Italian remains on his feet. After some quick back-and-forth action, Giro lands a massive left hook—and down goes Fonseca! Giro covers for the pin.
Winner: The Italian Superman Matteo Giro
Match 2: Joe Garcia vs. Van Bruggen
Joe Garcia comes out swinging, trying to take the fight to the much larger Van Bruggen. But the big man shuts that down fast. Van Bruggen dominates early, delivering a huge chop and tossing Joe all over the ring.
Garcia tries to regroup, but as Van Bruggen charges after him, Joe targets the leg and staggers the giant. Garcia keeps working the leg, slowly chopping down the redwood of a man. He heads to the top rope for a high-risk move—but suddenly, King Eddie comes out!
Joe dives off the top rope and takes out King Eddie with a big crossbody. As he turns his attention back to the match, Van Bruggen grabs him and hurls him back into the ring. One devastating chokeslam later, and it’s over.
Winner: Van Bruggen
Match 3: Skitz vs. Chris Farrow
Next up, Chris Farrow faces off with Skitz. They lock up and battle into the corner, with Farrow landing a hip toss and sending Skitz scrambling. Farrow keeps up the pressure with a tight headlock, but Skitz slowly fights his way back to his feet.
Skitz climbs up Farrow and hits a sunset flip, but only gets a two-count. Farrow responds with some big slams and follows it up with a huge elbow off the middle rope. He goes for a pin, but Skitz kicks out at two.
Skitz finds an opening and traps Farrow in the corner, laying in some heavy stomps. He controls the action for a bit, working Farrow on the ropes. Farrow fights back with a big boot and lands a huge springboard moonsault.
Frustrated, Skitz grabs his cane. The referee stops him and tosses the cane to ringside—but Skitz has a second cane hidden! While the ref is distracted, Skitz nails Farrow with it and gets the three-count.
Winner: Skitz BR
Match 4: Kristen Blaze vs. Rachael Ley
Both women start off by sizing each other up. Blaze gains the early advantage, locking in a wrist hold, but Ley manages to fight out. Ley hits the ropes but runs right into a big shoulder tackle from Blaze.
Blaze maintains control, landing a powerful hip toss that sends Ley reeling. Blaze then sends Ley out of the ring. As Blaze goes to follow, Ley catches her with a sharp elbow, then climbs the turnbuckle and connects with a massive dropkick from the second rope.
Ley takes Blaze up and drops her with a sidewalk slam, and follows it up with a big body slam, shifting the momentum in her favor. But Blaze fights back—nailing Ley with a dropkick, then hoisting her up for a huge powerbomb!
Blaze covers... 1, 2, 3!
Winner: Kristen Blaze
Match 5: Julio Cesar vs. Elliot Qrow (c) – Cruiserweight Championship Match
Julio Cesar steps up to challenge Elliot Qrow for the Cruiserweight Championship.
The bell rings and both men waste no time, trading punches in a slugfest. The pace quickly picks up with some fast, technical exchanges—it’s anyone’s match at this point. Cesar finds some momentum, backing Qrow into the ropes, but Qrow fires back with some vicious chops.
Qrow halts Cesar’s momentum briefly, but Julio digs deep and hits a flurry of offense. Qrow retaliates with a few stiff punches, then brings Julio up to the top turnbuckle, looking for a superplex. Julio fights him off and sends him crashing down. He climbs to the top and hits a massive missile dropkick!
Both men are down, struggling to get to their feet. Qrow is up first—but Julio comes back strong, leveling him with a series of clotheslines. Cesar sees his opening and goes for the pin—Qrow kicks out at a very close two-count.
Qrow manages to reverse Julio’s next move and hits a devastating neckbreaker. He goes for the pin, but Julio gets his foot on the rope just in time. Julio regroups and heads to the top rope, but Qrow bumps the ropes, sending Julio crashing down—crotch-first on the turnbuckle.
Qrow capitalizes, hitting a suplex and going for the cover—only a two-count! Not done yet, Qrow heads to the top rope again and lands his signature double foot stomp! He covers—
1... 2... 3!
Winner (and still Cruiserweight Champion): Elliot Qrow
Match 6: Matt Gallagher vs. Meto – CCW Heavyweight Championship Match
Originally, this match was scheduled to be Matt Gallagher vs. Domino, but due to an injury, Domino was unable to compete. Stepping in as a replacement is Meto.
Gallagher doesn’t look thrilled about the last-minute change, but the CCW Heavyweight Championship is still on the line. As soon as the bell rings, Meto charges in, bringing the fight to Gallagher with a barrage of hard clotheslines and relentless pressure.
Meto sets up for his devastating spear, but Gallagher manages to counter with a well-timed toe hold, tripping him up. Gallagher takes advantage of the moment and rakes Meto’s eyes, shifting control in his favor.
Gallagher heads to the top rope, looking to land a big axe handle—but Meto counters with a huge superkick that drops Gallagher in his tracks. Staggered, Gallagher tries to recover, but Meto lines him up and nails the spear!
Meto covers—1, 2, 3!
Winner (and new CCW Heavyweight Champion): Meto
Match 7: Pretty Rich Wise vs. Danny Everbourne
In the final match of the night, Danny Everbourne is still on the hunt for his first win in CCW as he squares off against Pretty Rich Wise.
The bell rings and the two lock up. Everbourne quickly shows off his strength, sending Wise hard into the corner. Wise responds with a flurry of punches, but Everbourne fires back, lifting Wise and delivering a big sidewalk slam.
Wise finds an opening, gets Everbourne to the mat, and locks in a crossface submission. Everbourne powers out and retaliates with a series of gutbusters, then goes for the pin—only a two-count!
As Everbourne regroups, Wise seizes the opportunity, catches him off guard, and rolls him up for a surprise three-count!
Winner: Pretty Rich Wise
Match 8: Jackal Stevens vs. Veritas
In the final match of the night, Jackal Stevens is looking to blow off some steam and posts an open challenge to the CCW locker room. The challenge is answered by none other than Veritas of The Invoked.
Jackal starts strong, staying in control early and taking the fight directly to Veritas. But Veritas counters with a big shoulder tackle, and the battle spills to the outside.
Jackal regains control on the floor, staying aggressive and sending Veritas crashing back into the ring. Fired up, Stevens lays into Veritas with heavy stomps in the corner.
Veritas turns things around, throwing Jackal into the opposite corner and unloading with a flurry of right hands. He sends Jackal off the ropes and plants him with a solid sidewalk slam.
But Jackal digs deep and fights back, shifting the momentum once again. He hits his signature Jackal Slam and hooks the leg for the three-count!
Winner: Jackal Stevens
King Eddie Valentine vs. Ozzy Killmeister
The match starts with King Eddie Valentine quickly taking control. Ozzy fires back and sends the King into the corner. He follows up with a strong elbow, shifting the momentum in his favor.
Ozzy remains in control, but the King finds an opening and delivers a series of heavy punches. With Ozzy trapped in the corner, Valentine lays into him relentlessly. Ozzy is sent hard into the turnbuckles, and the King begins twisting his head in a submission attempt.
Ozzy manages to fight to his feet but is immediately taken down by a big clothesline. Both men get back up and begin slugging it out in the center of the ring. Ozzy lands a Superman Punch, sending the King stumbling into the corner. He follows up with his patented Mosh Attack.
Ozzy climbs the ropes, looking to finish the match, but Marvin Cruz suddenly interferes and pushes him off the top. The referee sees the interference and immediately calls for the disqualification.
Winner by disqualification: Ozzy Killmeister
