3/22 AEW COLLISION SLAM DUNK SATURDAY REPORT

It is Saturday and AEW Collision was recorded after Dynamite Wednesday at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Omaha, NE Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Matt Menard and Nigel McGuinness.

Daniel Garcia (TNT Champion) vs Adam Cole - No Outsider Interference

They lock up and trade arm bars. Garcia breaks for his dance and Cole gives him a grimace. They lock up again and it’s headlocks this time. Garcia is whipped to the ropes and gets a shoulder tackle, and then Cole gets a hip lock takedown. Cole then does his Adam Cole Bay Bay. They trade waistlocks. Garcia snaps Cole’s arm and then Cole gets a shoulder tackle off the ropes.

They trade headlock takedowns. They go to waistlocks again and they grapple in the ropes and Garcia doesn't exactly break clean and they go back into the ropes. Garcia gets a big chop and then a drop-kick. Garcia attacks in the corner and gets eight in the corner before Cole knocks Garcia to the floor. Cole goes out and runs Garcia into the steel steps. Cole tosses him again and Garcia goes over the ring steps. Cole tosses Garcia into the ring and goes to work on the leg that hit the steel steps.

Cole hits a running knee to Garcia face for a two count. Cole attacks Garcia in the corner and Garcia fights his way free, but Cole shoves him back into the corner and stomps on the leg again. Garcia gets a kick but collapses in the middle of the ring. Cole goes for a figure four and Garcia rolls him up for two Cole gets a backstabber and covers for two as we go to picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, Cole wraps Garcia’s leg around the ringpost. Cole lays in blows to the head and Garcia tries to get to his feet and finally gets up for a bit, but drops back down to his knees. Garcia gets to his feet and Cole punches him down. Garcia fights back up and gets hit by an enziguiri by Cole. Garcia is able to get a swinging neckbreaker.

Garcia gets a second swinging neckbreaker and follows with a swinging heat seeker for two. Cole is able to get a neckbreaker for two. Garcia kicks Cole to the floor and when Cole gets on the apron, Garcia gets a running kick and they both fall to the floor. Garcia has the fans help him get to his feet and then gets a running leap into Cole in the barricade. Garcia rolls Cole into the ring, and when Garcia gets in the ring, Cole is able to catch him and get another neckbreaker for two.

Cole goes for the Panama Sunrise and Garcia stops him by climbing the ropes for a big blow.  We are told there are five minutes remaining. Garcia is knocked off the ropes and Cole hits the Panama Sunrise for two and Garcia grabs the bottom rope on two. 

Cole goes back to the top and Garcia rolls to the floor. Cole sets to hit Panama Sunrise from the apron and Garcia dodges. Garcia can’t pick up Cole for the pile driver so instead he gets a gut wrench on the floor. Garcia rolls Cole into the ring and gets a pile driver for two. Cole gets a big kick and another Panama Sunrise for two. Cole locks on the figure four. Garcia is able to get to the ropes to break the hold. Garcia is able to grab a dragon tamer on Cole. Cole crawls to the bottom rope for the break. 

They move to fight on the apron and throw hands. Garcia tries for a piledriver, but Cole is able to escape and get a 

Cole rolls Garcia into the ring and when he drops the knee pad, Garcia grabs Cole’s leg. Cole escapes for the boom knee, but the time runs out before he can hit it.

No winner due to a time limit draw: Daniel Garcia retains

Cole and Garcia have words before Garcia gets to his feet and holds the belt high.

Max Caster is in the ring for the Max Caster Challenge, and he says his former partner isn’t as busy as him because he ran Anthony Bowens out of AEW. He tries to get the crowd to do his new chant, which fails.

Max Caster vs Hook

Hook has answered the open challenge. The crowd chants “Hook’s gonna kill you.”

Max says he will let Hook have his say, but attacks him instead. Max gets about 10 seconds of offense before Hook gets the Redrum and Max has to tap out.

Winner: Hook

Lexy Nair is with Queen Aminata and they are interrupted by Serena Deeb who says she has brought her book of 1000 wrestling holds, and what she needs to win is in the book. Aminata says she thinks she can win this on her own. Deeb says “We’ll see about that.”

Julia Hart vs Queen Aminata

They lock up and Aminata they trade quick roll ups and two counts. Aminata gets a pump kick and a rolling suplex. Aminata pulls Hart to the apron and gets a power slam on the apron as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Hart gets a standing moonsault on Aminata for two. Hart gets running attacks in the corner and then runs at Aminata who grabs Hart for an air raid crash for two. Aminata drags Hart to the corner and goes to the top. Hart is able to meet her there and they fight on the top. Hart suplexes Aminata and hangs on to the tree of woe. She sits up and misses a moonsault from the top. Aminata gets a headbutt for a two count.

Aminata gets a series of kicks to Hart’s head and Hart runs into a forearm. Aminata tires for her leaping attack in the corner and Hart is able to doges and get the rollup for the pin and the win.

Winner: Julia Hart

Lexy is in the back with Harley Cameron and she says that she has a match and will be on commentary for the lucha match. Lexi asks if Harley and Harleygram and the same person and Harley screams and drops out of frame.

The Murder Machines (Lance Archer and Brian Cage) and Konosuke Takeshita vs. Powerhouse Hobbs, Mark Briscoe, and Rocky Romero

Don Callis joins commentary.

Briscoe and Takeshita start off and move quickly to running the ropes. Takeshita is able to knock down Briscoe with a shoulder tackle and they run the ropes again. They fight in the corner with Briscoe getting a big punch to the jaw, and comes off the top and gets hit with a knee in the midsection. Briscoe dodges attacks and the Murder Machines are knocked off the apron. Hobbs tags in and slams Takeshita. He tags in Rocky and slams Takeshita again and Rocky gets a stomp from the top. 

Rocky dives off the top and he gets caught and hit with an apron bomb as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Rocky has been the babyface in peril through the break and he throws hands with Takeshita. Rocky gets a springboard swinging DDT and is able to get the tag to Briscoe, who cleans house. Briscoe gets a fisherman’s suplex on Takeshita for two and the Murder Machine breaks it up and goes after Briscoe with Takeshita covering for two. 

Hobbs gets the tags and takes it to the Murder Machines. Hobbs drops the straps and gets a spinebuster on Takeshita. Care and Hobbs trade blows until Cage gets a suplex. Rocky is tagged in and it's time for everyone to get a big move on the last person in the ring. It ends with Rocky getting a rollup on Archer for two. Cage and Archer get the combo power bomb. Takeshita hits Raging Fire on Rocky for the pin and the win. 

Winners: The Murder Machines (Lance Archer and Brian Cage) and Konosuke Takeshita.
