It is Sunday and AEW Collision was recorded after Dynamite Wednesday at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Omaha, NE. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.
The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Pac) AEW Trios champions vs Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) and AR Fox
I don’t think we have seen a Trio Title defense in ages.
Yuta and Darius start out and then quickly go to mat wrestling and side headlocks. Darius gets an arm drag and a drop-kick and moves Yuta to his corner. Dante tags in and they double-team Yuta into a one count. Yuta works to his corner and Claudio is tagged in, Dante takes a few blows, but then gets on Claudio’s back with a sleeper. Claudio whips him off and Dante gets a sunset flip, but Claudio fights it off and pulls Dante to his feet. Dante lays in forearms and Claudio drops him with a forearm of his own.
Claudio works over Dante in the corner, and Dante fights free with kicks and a tejaris that knocks Claudio to the floor. Pac tags in and Dante gets a leaping forearm and tags in Fox, who gets a series of blows. Fox dumps Yuta to the floor, dumps Pac to the apron. Fox leaps onto Pac and then dives onto Yuta. Claudio gets a pump kick on Fox and tosses him into the ring. The Death Riders then work over Fox with quick tags, cutting the ring in half.
Fox is able to get to his corner to tag in Darius, who cleans house. Darius gets a flatliner on Yuta for two. Dante gets a moonsault dive on Claudio in the ring, Pac distracts the ref as Yuta gets an eye rake on Darius followed by a back slam for two as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Darius has been the babyface in peril. The Death Riders work him over in their corner as the crowd chants for AR Fox. Darius is able to get a pop up drop-kick on Claudio and they crawl to their corners. Darius kicks off of Claudio to his corner and Dante is tagged in the run wild. Dante’s leaps to avoid charges from Death Riders are crazy. Fox then tags in and gets a senton dive from the top on Yuta for two.
Fox goes to the top and Claudio grabs his foot. Top Flight pull him free, but Yuta is able to knock Fox to the mat. On the floor, Claudio clotheslines Top Flight. The Death Riders invade the ring and surround Fox, slowly closing in. Fox tries to fight them all, but they eventually take him down with stomps. They hit forever charges in the corner and Pac hits a tombstone. Claudio tosses Yuta from the top onto Fox for the pin and the win.
Winners and still Trios Champions: The Death Riders
After the match, Lio Rush and Action Andretti attack Top Flight. They use their neck chains to choke Top Flight, and the referees flood the ring to break it up.
We get a recap of last night’s Daniel Garcia vs Adam Cole match (which was fantastic, go out of your way to watch it) and Lexi is with Adam Cole. Cole says he had Garcia beat and the time limit beat him, and it won’t save him next time. Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong are upset with the disrespect FTR has shown them and they want a rematch.
Lexi was with Kazuchika Okada and when asked about his two big matches that year, he said he put those bitches to sleep.
Johnny TV vs Bandido
Yeah, TV was already in the ring, but they are cutting a lot of entrances because of the shortened time frame for the show.
TV gets a multiple spin takedown for a one count. He lays in kicks on the prone Bandido. TV gets a neck breaker but doesn’t follow up. He gets another kick and then lays in blows on Bandido. Bandido runs the ropes and gets three leaping forearms. He then hits TV with a monkey flip and follows with a one arm gorilla press as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Bandido gets the feet up in the corner as TV leaps and covers for two. Bandido hits a GTS and then the 21 plex for the pin and the win.
Winner: Bandido
Bandido then calls out Chris Jericho and tells him to bring out his brother Gravity’s mask to the ring now.
Jericho obliges him with Large William and Bryan Keith.
Jericho says he still has to remind everyone that he can only be taken for granted so long, and you can only take so much from him before he starts taking back. He won’t be giving the mask back because he wants Bandido to remember the humiliation and the only thing worse than taking a mask is putting that mask on, which he does. He asks Bandido what is he going to do.
Bandido drops Jericho. He then attacks Keith, escapes a chokeslam from William and grabs the mask off Jericho’s face and goes to the back.
We then get a hype package for Megan Bayne.
We then get a promo from Toni Storm who talks about a lot of mythology and how she will win and after she does, she will say “By God I’m Good.”
Harley Cameron vs The Already In The Ring Almina Belmont
Cameron shows off a lot of moves in this quick enhancement match where she wins with Her Finishing Move.
Winner: Harley Cameron
Lexi asks Don Callis about Kyle Fletcher and Don says that what they have planned for Kyle Fletcher is bigger than people can imagine. Kyle shows and says he is not out injured. The cage match changed him, but one thing that hasn’t changed is he is the greatest of all time, and he will show what is next for him and the Don Callis Family on Dynamite.
Los Titanes Del Aire (Hologram and Komander) vs Mortos and Dralistico
Harley Cameron has joined commentary.
Mortos accidentally rams Dralistico and then runs the ropes with Hologram. Hologram gets a spinning rollup for two. Mortos gets a cover and then hits a headbutt. Mortos knocks Hologram into his corner where Komander tags in. Dralistico then tags in and he gets a leaping shoulder tackle. Komander gets a series of kicks and then bounces on the ropes for an arm drag. Komander gets another arm drag.
Harley says she has to leave and call a friend.
In the ring Dralistico gets a tejaris on Komander and Mortos hits a tornado dive onto Hologram as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Harleygram has arrived at ringside. Hologram and Komander are double-teaming Dralistico. Komander gets a sky twister from the top for two, broken up by Mortos. Both men struggle to tag and Mortos and Hologram are tagged in. Hologram gets a series of kicks and a poisonrana. Hologram then dives on Mortos on the floor. Mortos is rolled into the ring and Komander walks the ropes for a moonsault for two, broken up by Dralistico.
Komander and Dralistico are tagged in and then go to the top where they fight on the top turnbuckle. Komander escapes a superplex and kicks Dralistico. Komander then runs up the ropes for a Hurricanrana. Mortos grabs Komander for a backbreaker and then a Tornado charge. Hologram gets a poisonrana.
Dralistico comes off the top for a DDT and Komander kicks down Dralistico and covers for two. Superfast mix of moves going on and we have Komander and Dralistico in the ring, where they trade blows and chops. Dralisticto gets a leaping DDT for two, with Hologram breaking it up. Hologram goes to dive, but Dralistico grabs Axel Abrahantes to hold in front of him.
Alex drops out of the way and Hologram drives. Mortos tosses Alex and stands face to face with Harleygram. This allows Komander to run the ropes into a dive onto Mortos and Dralistoico. Dralistico is rolled into the ring. Komander hits a Blue Thunder Bomb and Hologram hits the Portal Bomb from the top for the pin and the win.
Winners: Los Titanes Del Aire (Hologram and Komander)
