The Capital City Museum in Frankfort, Kentucky will officially open an exhibit dedicated to former WWF and WCW "Miss" Elizabeth, who famously managed Randy Savage (and married him) during her WWF run and later managed Ric Flair and Lex Luger, among others in WCW.
In speaking to John Cosper of Eat Sleep Wrestling, museum director Dr. Eleanor Hasken-Wagner explained that when Elizabeth's mother passed, the museum came into possession of some of Elizabeth's gowns that were worn during her WWF run. When the museum saw the reaction to them when they were displayed, they went to work on creating a larger-scale exhibit, which will rin through April 2027.
Cosper's article notes, "The Capital City Museum partnered with a man from Northern Kentucky named Jeremiah Smith- Rouse to expand the exhibit, which now includes some leather jackets, limited edition Miss Elizabeth merchandise, a necklace worn by Elizabeth, and her majorette jacket from Franklin County High School. Fans will also be able to view an interactive video timeline of Elizabeth’s life and family in Frankfort as well as her wrestling career."
The Museum will be doing drive-in events in their parking lot, screening WWF and WCW bouts that featured Elizabeth's involvement as well as creating specific merchandise dedicated to the exhibit.
Elizabeth was originally from Frankfort. She passed away in May 2003 at the age of 42.
The Capital City Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the museum and the drive-in nights is free, but donations are accepted. The Elizabeth exhibit will be housed on the second floor of the facility.
