Welcome to PWInsider.com’s April 2, 2025 coverage of WWE EVOLVE on Tubi! Scheduled for tonight’s episode is the following:

*Wendy Choo vs. Kylie Rae

*Joe Coffey vs. Harlem Lewis

*Dani Palmer and Kali Armstrong Face-Off

This week’s episode starts off with Peter Rosenberg and Robert Stone going over the card for tonight before the first match starts.

A video package airs for Brinley Reece. It covers her EVOLVE appearances so far and how she yelled out “It should have been me in that first match!” during her last match.

A video package airs for Zayda Steel. Steel is the first ever WWE ID signee. She is out to steal the show every time out. Steel isn’t afraid of anything - having wrestled everyone and every type of match all over the world.

Brinley Reece vs. Zayda Steel

They go to lock up, but Zayda Steel backs off and gets a last second stretch in. They do eventually lock up, though, and Steel is quick to go behind on Brinley Reece. Reece counters, though, and cranks the arm of Steel. Breece takes Steel down, but Steel reverses with a headscissors.

Jackson Drake is shown in the VIP Section.

They stand and Steel backs Reece into the ropes and slaps her hard. Reece doesn’t appreciate the slap and slaps Steel back. Reece then rolls through a running strike and is able to grab Steel’s arm. Reece cranks it, but Steel is able to get out of the hold. They dodge each other’s moves a couple of times until Reece grabs a hold of Steel and gets her into a backslide position. Instead of hitting a backslide, though, Reece powers Steel over and slams her on her face for a two count.

Reece tries to whip Steel into the corner, but Steel slides and counters with some strikes. Steel works Reece over in the corner with a slap, an uppercut, and an elbow. Reece fights back with some strikes, but gets whipped into the corner. Reece dodges a running attack by going to the apron. Steel is able to hit Reece in the midsection and then hits a lungblower through the ropes for a two count.

Steel slaps on a chinlock. Reece fights out and hits a belly-to-back suplex. Both women are slow to get up. When they do, Reece hits a back elbow and a kick on charging attacks. Reece then hits a big tackle and a spinebuster. Reece hits a somersault buckshot lariat for a two count. Reece picks Steel up, but Steel wiggles out. Steel gets a roll up for a two count. Reece picks Steel up again and hits a fireman’s carry cutter for the win!

Winner: Brinley Reece

After the match, Swipe Right comes to the ring to check on Zayda Steel. They help her to the back as they exchange words with Jackson Drake.

Kylie Rae is in the back getting ready for her match. Zara Zakher approaches to see how Rae is doing. Rae is trying to do her breathing exercises and gets worked up when Zakher brings up Wendy Choo’s mind games. Zakher helps Rae calm down a little bit, but Rae is still very worried about Choo. Zakher tells Rae to believe in herself and Rae says she will try.

A WrestleMania commercial airs.

A video package on Keanu Carver airs. He didn’t grow up like the rest of the people in the company. Carver grew up on the streets, but has worked hard and feels like he can be the face of the company.

A video package airs for Luca Crusifino. He’s the consigliere to Tony D’Angelo, but runs things on EVOLVE.

Keanu Carver vs. Luca Crusifino

Keanu Carver tries to go right after Luca Crusifino, but Crusifino fights him off. Carver is able to overpower Crusifino, though, knocking him to the mat and then the corner. Crusifino fights back, though, and goes to the apron. Crusifino hits a big shoulder block and then a cannonball in the corner for a two count.

Carver reverses an Irish Whip, but Crusifino Flair Flips over the ropes. Crusifino tries to hit a flying tackle, but Carver catches Crusifino and drops him down hard. Carver hits a running forearm for a two count. Carver then launches Crusifino to the outside. Carver goes to the outside and sends Crusifino right back into the ring. Carver gets a one count. Carver slaps on a chinlock, but Crusifino fights out of it. Carver drops Crusifino with a strike, though, and then hits another big forearm. 

Carver hits another running forearm and then slaps on another chinlock. Crusifino fights out again and tries to lift Carver, but can’t. Carver clubs at Crusifino’s back and charges him in the corner. Crusifino dodges the attack and hits three running strikes and a Samoan Drop. Crusifino hits the Law Breaker and a running boot for a two count. Crusifino hits another running boot and goes for a suplex. Carver blocks the suplex and hits the Pounce for a two count. Carver hits a running powerslam for the win!

Winner: Keanu Carver

On his way to the back, Keanu Carver tells the camera that he’s coming for everybody and asks, “What’s up with that championship?”

Chantel Monroe vs. Masyn Holiday

They lock up and Chantel Monroe is quick to grab a side headlock. She drops Masyn Holiday down to the mat. Holiday gets dropped again, but is able to recover and do the same to Monroe. Holiday hits an arm drag and then a tackle. Monroe tries a hip toss, but Holiday blocks it and hits one of her own. Monroe rolls to the apron. Holiday tries to grab her, but Monroe tugs Holiday down over the top rope. Monroe then works Holiday over in the corner. Monroe stretches Holiday’s arm using the rope and the referee has to break it up.

Monroe continues to crank on Holiday’s arm and then sends her into the corner shoulder-first. Holiday ends up reversing and getting a roll up for a two count. Monroe recovers and goes back on the arm attack for a two count. Monroe stretches Holiday’s arm and neck on the mat, but misses a knee drop. Holiday is able to hit a couple of tackles. She whips Monroe to the corner and hits a bodyslam for a two count. Monroe blocks a suplex attempt and hits an armbreaker. Monroe rolls up Holiday and grabs a handful of tights for the win!

Winner: Chantel Monroe

Chuey Martinez interviews Chantel Monroe after her win. Monroe has two straight wins in EVOLVE, but isn’t surprised. When she looks in the mirror, she sees a winner. Monroe has been hearing about the EVOLVE Championship and plans on being the center of attention when it comes to the title.

Dani Palmer and Kali Armstrong sit down in the back for their face-off. Palmer knows that she messed up their tag team match, but is in EVOLVE to improve. Armstrong says that Palmer has a losing mentality. Palmer says that if Armstrong continues to have an attitude, she won’t have anyone in her corner. Armstrong says that she’s been doing just fine on her own. Palmer says that she knows Armstrong is just trying to get under her skin, but is saving her energy for their match. They stand up and get in each other’s faces, continuing to jaw at each other as the segment ends.

Highlights from Harlem Lewis’ first EVOLVE match are shown.

Joe Coffey knocking out Jordan Oasis from two weeks ago is shown.

Harlem Lewis vs. Joe Coffey

They lock up and Joe Coffey backs Harlem Lewis into the ropes. They break and Coffey goes for the knockout shot, but Lewis moves out of the way. They lock up again and Lewis grabs an arm. He cranks it, but Coffey is able to work out of it. Coffey hits a couple of arm drags and then cranks the arm of Lewis. Coffey stomps down on Lewis’ arm and shoulder. Lewis reverses a whip, but eats an uppercut. Coffey tries to hit a springboard crossbody, but Lewis catches him. Coffey wiggles out and goes behind Lewis. Lewis runs to the ropes and ducks, causing Coffey to hit the ropes throat-first.

Lewis stomps down on Coffey. Coffey tries to fight back, but Lewis cuts him off and hits a big clothesline. Lewis hits a running kick and gets three one counts. Lewis slaps on a chinlock and cranks it. Coffey fights out of it and tries to lift Lewis up. Lewis blocks it at first, but ends up eating a belly-to-back suplex. Coffey gets in some strikes to the body and then hits three tackles. Coffey hits the Glasgow Sendoff. He then jumps from the second rope to the top rope and hits a crossbody. Coffey runs at Lewis and they both go over the top rope.

Coffey tries to punch Lewis on the outside, but ends up punching the ringpost. Back in the ring, Coffey tries to go on the attack, but Lewis targets Coffey’s hand. He stomps on it and then hits a delayed jackhammer-like suplex for the win!

Winner: Harlem Lewis

Kylie Rae vs. Wendy Choo

During the main event introductions, Wendy Choo stares down Kylie Rae as Rae looks nervous. The bell rings and Choo offers a handshake. Rae hesitantly goes for it, but Choo withdraws it and goes behind Rae. She grabs a side headlock and takes Rae over. Rae reverses with a headscissors, but Choo is able to handstand out of it. Choo slides into another side headlock, but Rae fights out of it. Choo is sent into the ropes, but is able to hit a tackle. 

Choo stalks at Rae. Rae avoids her and uses her athleticism to flip out of a hold. Rae hits a twisting headscissors and a dropkick. Rae hops to the apron, but misses a kick through the ropes. Choo grabs her and pulls her down, back-first, over the top rope. Choo clubs down at Rae through the ropes and kicks at her neck. Rae drops to the floor.

Choo pulls Rae back into the ring and stomps down at her. Choo twists Rae’s neck with her own legs and then whips her into the corner. Choo hits a cartwheel elbow and then a big boot for a two count. Choo twists Rae’s neck, but Rae fights out of it. Rae hits a back elbow, a kick, and two clotheslines. Rae hits a running uppercut and a cannonball for a two count. Rae lifts up Choo, but Choo wiggles out. Rae is able to get a roll up for a two count, but Choo recovers quickly and tries to slap on the Dirt Nap. Rae grabs the ropes, but Choo drags her off and hits a German Suplex. 

Choo charges at Rae in the corner, but Rae gets a boot up. Choo catches the boot, but is kicked off. Rae hits a rope assisted arm drag and then hits the Sky Day Special. Choo sits up out of it. Rae screams at Choo, “I’m not afraid of you!” Rae hits a superkick and then locks on a crossface. Choo rolls Rae over and gets a two count. Rae hits a big right hand and tries to hit a springboard move. Choo blocks her and hits a full nelson slam. Choo locks on the Dirt Nap for the submission win!

Winner: Wendy Choo

After the match, Wendy Choo throws a blanket over Kylie Rae and the camera as the show goes to black.
