Welcome to PWInsider.com’s coverage of “Chris Bey, All Day.” The show aired on TNA+ and YouTube.
The show starts off with a Chris Bey video package and a link to his GoFundMe, which you can find at https://www.gofundme.com/f/chris-bey-recovery-funds
Tom Hannifan is the host of the show. All proceeds from this event will be going directly to Chris Bey. Hannifan promotes some upcoming shows and tonight’s Unbreakable.
Hannifan introduces Carlos Silva, the President of Anthem Sports. Silva talks about his excitement for today’s shows and wanted to make sure to stop by to see Chris Bey. Silva joined TNA around the time that Bey had his accident. Silva had a family member with a similar injury to Bey, and that person had a happy ending. Silva believes that Bey is close to his happy ending. Silva thanks the fans for supporting the company and looks forward to growing TNA even more.
Hannifan introduces Ace Austin. Austin is feeling great and is happy to see Chris Bey. Austin talks about traveling a lot to see Bey, but he’s used to traveling and wrestling is his life. The first few days after Bey’s injury were really hard, but he kept reminding Bey what it was like on Day 1 of the recovery… and now he’s back on his feet!
Austin talks about meeting Bey for the first time. Bey was doing some ring crew work and then got some experience on Xplosion against Austin. Austin enjoyed the match, and they clicked. After that, TNA brought Bey in, and they were both getting pushed at the same time. They had mutual respect as opponents and came together really well as a tag team.
Austin had ideas to be in a tag team when he was a kid, but didn’t expect to be in one once he started wrestling. Once he teamed with Chris Bey, though, he loved it. Austin enjoyed his time in a tag team with Madman Fulton and said it helped him get ready for his team with Bey. Austin and Bey made an active decision to connect with each other and become brothers so that it showed up in their matches.
Austin has learned to be grateful for the time he has thanks to Chris Bey—before and after Bey’s injury. Hannifan gives Austin credit for all that he’s done for Chris Bey.
A TNAMerch.com commercial airs.
A TNA Unbreakable commercial airs.
Hannifan introduces The Rascalz. Trey Miguel talks about the bond between The Rascalz and The ABC in and out of the ring. When Ace Austin signed with TNA, Miguel and Zachary Wentz were early in their TNA careers. They quickly came together and felt like they were building something special. Austin has taught Miguel to leave his issues at the door in order to focus on wrestling and get to work. Miguel talks about meeting Chris Bey after a match of theirs was canceled on an independent show. Miguel says that he has a lot going on in his personal life, and Bey always takes the time to reach out and check in on him. Bey has even been checking in on him during his injury.
Wentz talks about going from the highs of Bound for Glory to the lows of Chris Bey’s injury. Wentz and Miguel immediately ran to where Bey was and tried to help him get ready to go to the hospital. Bey is their brother, and Wentz knew that he’d end up being OK. Bey was doing his best to crack jokes and be himself during his recovery.
Wentz talks about his match tonight, which is part of the TNA International Championship Tournament. Wentz has a chance to become a first-ever champion. Wentz has completed some firsts already for TNA, like bringing the TNA X-Division Championship to NXT. The Rascalz have done a lot in TNA, and he’s looking forward to making more history.
Miguel talks about Wentz coming back to TNA. He was excited, of course, but jokes about Wentz not letting him win the TNA X-Division Championship. Miguel talks about how special their matches have been with The ABC and The Hardys.
Wentz talks about how helpful Sean Waltman has been. Wentz talks about speaking to Waltman about using his Bronco Buster. At first, Waltman didn’t give his permission, but has given it since and has also been a mentor. Waltman always checks in on The Rascalz and helps as much as he can.
The Rascalz talk about wrestling The Hardys. It’s the coolest thing in the world to them.
A TNA Unbreakable commercial airs.
Hannifan introduces Joe Hendry. Hendry has a challenge ahead of him tonight but is looking forward to working through it. Hannifan then promotes a bunch of upcoming shows before asking Hendry how his shoulder is. Hendry says that he can’t think about it too much because that’s when he’ll make mistakes. When he had the Digital Media Championship, he broke his nose and worked through it. He’s hoping to do the same with the TNA World Title.
Hendry talks about Chris Bey—how amazing he is and how he is one of the greatest people he’s met, in and out of wrestling. Bey is supportive and encouraging of everyone around him. Hendry has learned to appreciate the people in his life thanks to Bey. Hendry talks about how Bey always reaches out to people to congratulate them on things in their lives. Hendry feels like TNA is a family and Bey is a huge part of it.
Hannifan gives Hendry credit for how he handled Bey’s injury and how he snapped into action. Hannifan also gives Hendry credit for how he has represented the company. Hendry can’t process the last year he has had. All of his dreams have come true. If it weren’t for the fans, none of it would have happened.
Hendry talks about his face possibly appearing on the Sphere in Las Vegas. He’s willing to pay $10,000 to make it happen but gives a time ultimatum to the Sphere. Hendry’s advice before he leaves: take things day by day and do your best each day. Try to be good consistently.
A TNA+ commercial airs.
A TNA Rebellion commercial airs.
Hannifan introduces The Hardys. The Hardys talk about their match tonight where they’ll be teaming with Mike Santana to take on The Nemeths and Mustafa Ali. They’ll also be facing The Nemeths for the TNA Tag Team Titles at Rebellion. Jeff is excited for everything and feels like his soul is full. He loves being in TNA. Matt is excited to get his hands on The Nemeths. It won’t be pretty.
Matt talks about Chris Bey before and after Bey’s injury. Matt has always loved Bey’s attitude and how great of a person he is. Matt was shocked and scared for Bey, but his recovery has been inhuman. Bey has been nothing but optimistic and has inspired more people than he knows. Matt is so happy to have Chris Bey in his life.
