STARDOM 4/17 AMERICAN DREAM IN SIN CITY RECAP

Stardom: American Dream 2025 in Sin City was held at the Silverton Casino Hotel, Las Vegas, NV.  Our commentary team was Dan Barry and Trevin Adams.

AZM & Ram Kaicho vs Mazzerati & Starlight Kid

Kid and AZM start out running the ropes and they get a series of back and forth one count pins, as we are told these two are in a friendly rivalry and know each other well. AZM and Ram smash the head of Kid in the ropes before Ram tags in. Ram works over Kid in the corners and then goes for a pin for two. AZM tags in and goes for a series of pins, Kid gets a foot on the rope for the last one. Ram tags in and gets a sleeper, but Kid gets to the ropes.

Kid gets a springboard crossbody and then walks on Ram before a moonsault for two. Mazzerati is tagged in and stops Ram’s offense with a snap suplex for two. Kid is tagged back in and Ram screams and drops to the mat, and when Kid goes for the pin, Ram grabs a tow count. Ram goes for an eye poke and Kid grabs the hand to stop it. 

AZM tags in and gets a springboard arm drag into a Ring of Saturn. Kid escapes and they throw hands. Kid gets a bridging suplex for two. Mazzerati tags in, gets a spin kick and covers for two. They run the ropes and AZM gets a vertical suplex for two. Mazzerati gets running knees to the face in the corner, and then Kid joins for a double drop-kick for two. 

AZM holds Mazzerati as Ram gets a big cross body and then hits a missile drop-kick on Mazzerati for two, and moves immediately into an arm bar into a Ring of Saturday, and Mazzerati gets to the ropes for a break. AZM goes to the top misses a double stomp, but Kid gets a leg lariat and Mazzerati gets a suplex with a bridge for two. Mazzerati can’t pull AZM up and when she does, AZM hits a solid kick to the jaw.

Mazzerati sweeps the leg for a two count rollup. Mazzerait gets a snap suplex and misses the Boom Boom clothesline and AZM is able to grab a leg based rollup for the pin and the win.

Winner: AZM and Ram Kaicho

AZM grabs a mic and talks with Kid about their upcoming match, and they shake hands.

Jody Threat & Suzu Suzuki vs Airica & Unagi Sayaka

Suzuki and Unagi start and lock up and Unagi forces them into the ropes. They break and Suzuki gets a big slap. Suzuki goes to the floor and Threat rolls her back into the ring. Suzuki gets a double lunch blower on Threat and Suzuki and Airica tags in, but gets suplexed by Unagi. Suzuki uses the ropes to hold her knees on Airica’s midsection. 

Threat tags in and works over Airica in the corner before an exploder suplex for two. Airica reverses a suplex into an eat the feet. Unagi tags in and gets a facebuster. She hits a leg drop for two. She then gets a thrust kick and then a running kick in the ropes for two. After they jockey for position Threat gets a jackhammer for two. Suzuki tags in and gets a series of running attacks in the corner. Unagi gets a lung blower followed by a cutter for two.

Airica tags in and gets a double upkick followed by a half-and-half suplex for two. They throw hands in the middle of the ring. Suzuki ends it with a snap mare and a kick to the back. Unagi tags in and gets a superplex on Suzuki, but Threat pulls her out of the ring. Airica gets a DDT for two on Suzuki. 

Suzuki gets a face plant slam for two, saved by Unagi. They hit Suzuki with a double Gori special for two with Threat breaking it up. Threat tags and they double-team her, and the tag team siren goes off and Suzuki and Threat get a double suplex. Suzuki hits a rolling suplex Airica and holds on for the pin and the win. 

Winners: Jody Threat & Suzu Suzuki 

Hazuki & Kelsey Heather vs Hanan & Saya Iida

Kelsey and Iida start off the match and after the lock up Kelsey gets an arm drag, and then a cartwheel into the corner followed by a leaping head snap. Iida drops a running elbow on Kelsey’s back and Hana joins in for a double team.  Iisa covers for two and Hanan tags in and grabs a rear chinlock after a two count. Kelsey works to her feet and Hanan stomps her back down.

Iida tags back in and gets a series of chops as Hana holds Kelsey. Iisa covers with a bicep pose for two. Kelsey gets a single arm bar face plant and Hazuki is tagged in and nails a missile drop-kick from the second rope for two. The tag team siren goes off, and all four women are in the ring and Hazuki and Kelsey hit a double bulldog. Hazuki chokes Iida on the bottom rope, follows with face washes and covers for two.

Iida is able to come off the ropes with a double Polish Hammer for two, and Hanan is tagged in and gets a series of forearms. Hakuzi now sells them and tags in Kelsey. They hit a double; drop-kick on Hanan for two. Kelsey gets a kick in the corner, followed by a snap mare and a moonsault for two.

They trade blows and Kelsey beats her down to the mat. Kelsey comes off the ropes into a judo hip toss and Iida jumps in for double elbows for two. Hanan gets a running knee, and then a Famouser for two. Kelsey gets a lung blower and Hazuki follows with a backstabber, and Kelsey hits another lung blower for two, saved by Iida. 

All four women are fighting in the ring and Kelsey gets an insigiri for two on Hanan. Iida comes off the top for a spear and then Iida and Hana get a double slam for two, broken up by Hazuki. Iida grabs Hazuki on the floor and Hana gets a Northern Lights Suplex with a bridge for the pin and the win.

Winners: Hanan & Saya Iida

We have a 10-minute intermission where the commentary team talk about upcoming shows for Stardom and give some background on the women in the show. I was going to skip over the intermission, but they did a solid job of promotion for Stardom. 

Empress Nexus Venus (HANAKO & Mina Shirakawa) vs HATE (Momo Watanabe & Natsuko Tora)

Momo comes to the ring with a bat. 

Tora and Mina start the match and lock up and Toro forces them to the ropes. They run the rope and Mina dodges a series of attacks from Toro, and when Mina plays to the crowd, Toro nails her. Mina gets a leg sweep and a boot to the head. Toro sends Mina to the outside with a low bridge that didn’t quite work, and all four women are brawling on the floor.

Mina is rolled into the ring at 10 (Stardom has a 20 count) and Toro spits water in Mina’s face and then covers for two. Toro gets a snap suplex and takes her time before hitting another. Toro tags in Momo and gets a scoop slam and lazily covers for two. Momo gives a series of kicks and Mina fires up and throws hands, but Momo drops her with a single strike. Mina is able to get to her feet and gets a Russian Leg Sweep and Hanako is tagged in, who gets a Death Valley Driver into the cover. She tries again and Momo stops her and rakes the eyes. 

Hanako gets a Samoan drop for two. Hanako struggles but can’t get a suplex, and Momo trips her into the ropes. She nails a hard kick to the chest for two. Toro tags in and gets a running crossbody but misses a senton. Hanako gets a suplex and tags in Mina.

Mina hits a running elbow in the corner and Momo gets in the ring to double-team Mina. Mina gets a roll though sharpshooter on Toro, and a DDT on Momo at the same time. Mina works over Toro’s knee and then grabs a figure four. Toro rolls to her corner and grabs the ropes. Mina gets a sliding clothesline for two. Mina runs into a charge from Toro, who then hits a Samoan drop for two. Toro gets a senton and Mina bridges out of the pin.

Toro goes to the top and Hanako tosses Toro to the mat. Mina goes to the top for a sling blade for one, broken up by Momo. Hanako tosses Momo and Mina gets another figure four, and Mom breaks it up. Hanako and Momo go to the floor and Toro hits a clothesline for two. Toro then gets a Falcon Arrow for two. Toro goes to the top for a splash for two, broken up by Hanako.

Momo brings in the bat and Toro holds Mina up, but Mina ducks the strike which hits Toro. Mina gets a mousetrap pin for the win.

Winners: Empress Nexus Venus

Mina gives a quick promo about how much has changed in the last year and to keep watchign Mina and Stardom for what’s next. 

Syuri & Vipress vs Kalientita & Konami

Konami and Syuri start off and Konami gets a double leg takedown and they grapple on the mat, work to their feet and go back to mat work. They break and reset. Kalientita and Vipress tag in and they go for quick pins back and forth. Kalientita gets a backstabber for one and then tosses Vipress to the floor. Konami and Syuri start fighting on the floor as well.

Vipress is rolled into the ring at 10 and Konami tags in. Konami lays in big chops, beats her down in the corner and then stretches Vipress in the ropes. Vipress gets in chops and a spinning back fist and then hits a suplex followed by a clothesline. Vipress gets a face plant same for two, broken up by Kalientita. Syuri tags in and charges into the corner and hits a suplex for two.

They trade blows in the middle of the ring. Konami gets a snap mare and then kicks Syuri’s back. Syuri gets a snap mare and does the same. They trade kicks to the chest. Konami grabs the leg and rakes the eyes before throwing chops. Syuri gets a lung blower. Konami gets a German suplex with a kick for two. 

Kalientita tags in and gets an arm drag followed by a drop-kick. She stomps down Syuri in the corner for two. Syuri is able to grab an arm bar and Vipress stops Konami from breaking it up and puts her in a head scissors. Kalientita gets to the ropes for a break and Syuri fires knees and misses a charge in the corner. Konami helps Kalientita nail Syuri and Kalientita gets a heat stroke for two. Koanmi gets in a kick and Kalientita gets a heat check for two, broken up by Vipress. Syuri gets a German suplex with a release and then a big kick for two. 

Kalientita dodges a clothesline, Konami runs in the ring with her spray can, but Vpiress takes her out. Syuri gets a spinning back kick and Kalientita gets a rollup for two. Syuri gets another spin kick for two. Syuri gets a power slam for the pin and the win.

Winners: Syuri and Vipress

Maika vs Thekla

Thekla’s gimmick is that she wants to rid Stardom of “idols”. 

Thekla leaps in the ring and Maika pops her in the mush. Thekla gets a tilt a whirl head scissors and they trade kicks around the ring. Toro has snuck out to ringside and pulls Maika out of the ring and the fight moves to the floor. Hanako and Mina have come out to keep further interference. 

Thekla gets a suplex on the ramp. THEN the count starts as Thekla drinks water. Maika’s head is slammed into the apron and then is run into the ringpost. Maika i s rolled into the ring at 16 and Thekla gets in the ring at 18. Thekla gets a big boot from the apron and grapevines the legs with a bridge and turns it into an inverted STF. Thekla breaks the hold by dropping to the mat. Thekla moves to beat down Maika in the corner.

Maika reverses the Irish whip and Maika runs into a big boot twice and Thekla gets a tarantula in the ropes and covers for two. Thekla gives dismissive slaps. Maika starts throwing hands as she works to her feet. Thekla knocks down Maika with a forearm shot. Maika gets a spinning power slam. 

Maika beats down Thekla in the corner and then gets a sliding clothesline for two. Thekla is able to get an octopus stretch off the ropes and Maika walks to the ropes for the break. Thekla gets a running kick and then kicks Maika back into the middle of the ring. Thekla goes to the top and hits a flying crossbody for two. 

Maika rolls through for a two count and then gets a stalling vertical suplex for two. Maika goes to the top and Thekla is able to catch her and climbs the ropes as well. They fight on the top and Thekla rises up from a tree of woe and gets a super plex front he top. Thekla does the spider walk and then calls for a super kick. Thekla gets a spear for two.

Thekla gets a snap suplex after not being able to get the double underhook. Thekla goes to the top and Maika meets her there and hits a superplex on Thekla. They charge into each other and both women are down. They both are fighting on their knees at 8. Maika takes control and knocks Thekla down. They get to their feet and Maika tells Thekla to take her shot. She does and then Maika beats her down to the mat. Thekla gets a spinning heel kick, but Maika gets a clothesline and a power slam for two. 

Thekla gets a rolling submission called The Spider’s Choke. Maika gets a foot free and finally gets a foot on the ropes. Maika is able to get a stack power bomb for two. Thekla gets a rollup with a bridge for two. Maika gets a clothesline and then a Michinoko Driver for the pin and the win.

Winner: Maika

After the match, Maika calls Thekla a bitch. Thekla says that maika was a lot cooler before she joined with Mina Shirakawa and now she is lame. But now that Mina is leaving, she wishes Maika good luck.
