Wrestling Open MA “Wrestling Open vs BIOPro”
4/17/25 - Worcester, MA
Rich Palladino & Lauren St James are dual ring announcing tonight to keep in the theme of a 4-match series between Wrestling Open and the BIOPro School!
Spotlight Match: Julius Draeger vs Johnny Rivera
Ironsides is the “Bully of BioPro”. It’s been a minute since we’ve seen the Wild Hound in action. Rivera starts hot and he’s looking good…but reps matter. Draeger gets the knees up on a top rope swanton, picks the leg for a back suplex and jack knifes the wild hound for the win. I’m told this doesn’t count for the series.
Match 1: DJ Powers & Georgio Lawrence (Open) vs Wrench & Resolve (Jake Gray & Erik Chacha) (BIOPro)
The crowd and even their opponents have gotten behind our dubbing of Lawrence and Powers as the Moist Boys. W&R start hot but the crap tactics of the Moist Boys take over. Chacha eats a long beatdown. Gray is about to get the hot tag but Powers knocks him off the apron and Lawrence wipes out Chacha with a spinning head kick for the win.
Match 2: Pedro Dones (Open) vs Rain Conway (BIOPro)
Rain thinks he’s going have an easy win over Pedro. he does get his licks in but Pedro makes short work of him when he fires up and hits the ball inning headbutt for the three. Rain is getting over as the heel we love to hate.
Match 3: The Residency (Rex Lawless & Nick Robles) vs Miracle Generation (Dustin Waller & Kylon King)
Kylon owns the opening minutes landing hard chops to both opponents. They do NOT like this. A little distraction double team magic and suddenly Kylon is working from underneath. Robles gets a dumb idea and tries to prove his strength to Rex…which results in him collapsing under the weight of both Miracles. Rex dropped to the outside and Robles eats a double sitout bomb for the win! This feud isn’t done though. Dustin says next week, Ichiban joins them to bring the full force of the Miracle Ones against the full Residency!
Match 4: Bear Bronson vs Brando Lee
Bear also hates Bryce Donovan and is hoping their match tonight will bring out the fire Lee needs to take down his WWEID nemesis. “If you can survive ME, Maybe you have a chance against Bryce”. Brandon lets his speed do his talking but Bear squashes him with a seated senton that takes the air right out of him. Bear screaming at Brando to get back up. Harrrrd chops fold the kid up. Lee guts out this beating but every time he tries to put a few Moves together, Bear smashes him back down. Finally a sunset flip bomb gives Lee his best chance of the match! Lee fires up! Rolling DVD into a top rope stomp! Bear is rocked but not down! Bear hits a sitout bomb after trying a rolling capo kick! Kickout! Lariat! Kickout! Another sitout bomb and Lee finally stays down for the three! That was absolutely the fire Lee needs for later. Bear is winded and gasping…he made have won…but Lee shattered his expectations and he’s stoked for what Bryce has coming to him. Really good match. Reallllly good story here.
Match 5: Big Business (Brad Hollister & TJ Crawford) (Open) vs Brett Mettro & Jay Tunis
Jay apologizes for being not on the same page as Mettro last week. Mettro isn’t wearing his trademark teal. They are black and white and know that BIOPro is down 2-0 on the main show tonight. Jay getting right in Brad Hollister’s face and he pays the price for that…for a long time. It’s a lopsided battle in Open’s favor but Tunis blindsides Bacon and that opens up the door for some payback. Hollister is having a CLEAR problem with his knee and its being used for leverage. TJ finally gets the tag and taking care of business but Brad is down and out on the apron. Mettro escapes to get the tag but Tunis jumps off the apron. Brett is left alone, TJ with the silver bullet and a Business is Booming puts Teal Steel down for the win. Open wins the series official at 3-0!
Brad puts over Mettro big for staying in the match…but he turns his attention to DJ Powers and how he will be taking him apart next week.
Match 6: Mortar (Open) vs Eye Black Jack Pasquale
The crowd loves EBJ but we are STOKED by the return of Mortar! These two are swinging for the fences right from the start…but Mortar’s experience allows him to take control over the relative (but undefeated) newcomer. Jack withstanding the assault but Mortar keeps coming. Mortar with a BEAUTIFUL moonsault but Jack rolls out of the way and hits a staggering Mortar with a uranage for the three. This ruled.
Main Event: Sammy Diaz vs Hammer Tunis
The Stetson Ranch is barred from the building and if hammer loses, he never wrestles at Open again. If the crowd wants ONE THING, it’s to see the Ranch take a huge L. To Hammer’s credit, he is getting pummeled by Diaz AND the crowd and he is weathering the storm. Hammer up in a fireman’s carry and he throws down Ref Scott! A low blow! He rolls up Sammy and holds the tights for the three! Oh nooooo!
BROTHER GREATNESS IS HERE! He brings out Ref Bill who confers with Ref Scott and we are restarting the match! Hammer comes running and Diaz hits a Michanoku driver for the win! ahahahahahahaha!!!!
Hammer is shocked! The crowd is over the moon! We’re singing and chanting and sending Hammer home VERY unhappy! Honestly, this show was a blast. With Mania week in full swing and AEW down the road, this was a chance for the passionate Open crew to really show out. Crowd energy was through the roof tonight. Very Good night!
