STEPHANIE VAQUER BRINGS GLOBAL PRIDE VIA CHILE TO WWE NXT STAND AND DELIVER

By Mike Johnson on 2025-04-18 20:02:00

When Stephanie Vaquer steps into the ring at NXT Stand & Deliver 2025 tomorrow, she will be doing more than defending the NXT Women’s Championship—she will be representing her home country of Chile, her family, and a generation of global fans who can now follow her every move thanks to WWE’s expansion onto Netflix.

Vaquer, who recently returned from a visit to her home country, spoke with PWInsider.com ahead of her highly anticipated title defense in Las Vegas, sharing the emotional and professional journey that has brought her to this moment.

“So exciting for this weekend, but I’m focused,” Vaquer said. “It’s a big match. Every match is important, but now I feel full energy from my country, from my family’s energy. I feel really good for this.”

That energy has only grown with the international reach WWE now enjoys through its Netflix partnership, something Vaquer sees as a game-changer—especially for her loved ones back home.

“For me, I feel more close, near my family,” she said. “Not just Chile—many countries in South America. Thank you, Netflix. Now I can feel more support from my people. Netflix brings WWE from home to home.”

Since joining WWE, Vaquer has emerged as a standout in the NXT women’s division, not just for her in-ring intensity but also for her international credibility. She’s competed against some of the toughest names in wrestling, including high-profile battles with STARDOM icon Giulia and wrestling megastar Mercedes Moné.

Now, under the spotlight of Stand & Deliver—arguably the most important event on the NXT calendar and taking place during WrestleMania weekend—Vaquer is ready to rise to the occasion.

“It’s a big challenge, really a big challenge for me. But I’m ready. I work hard a long time. It’s a big stage, a big match. I’m ready,” she said confidently.

Her journey has taken her from Latin America to Japan, and now to WWE’s NXT, where she holds one of the brand’s most prestigious titles. But for Vaquer, the heart of the experience is the community she has found in the U.S.

“I love everything, because many people have helped me,” she said. “I’ve met amazing people. I’m really happy.”
