DDT Pro Does Las Vegas
4/18/25 Pearl @ the Palms - Las Vegas, NV
Match 1: Yuni vs Starboy Charlie
Yuni debuted in DDT in 2016 at 8 years old. Now he’s 17. His dream is to win the top title by the time he’s out of high school. SOMEONE STARBOY CHARLIE IS THE OLDER WRESTLER TONIGHT?!? Both guys are flippy as hell and kick things off just showing the agility to each other and the crowd. Charlie draws the ire of the crown with a gut kick during a handshake. So much for respect! Charlie sent to the floor and Yuni follows with a top rope moonsault! Flipping combos back and forth, Yuni flops into a back breaker and Charlie hoists him up into a surfboard stretch. Both these guys are young but they have worlds of experience between them. Charlie plants Yuni with a gory bomb for two! Yuni with a reversal into a tornado ddt! Yuni caught with a urange and Starboy hits a corkscrew splash. The count is SO close they ring the bell but it’s only two! Fight to the top….Yuni slips on the ropes and that sets up a super atomic drop from Charlie. A followup shooting star press finally puts Yuni away. Fun opener!
Match 2: Damnation TA (Ilusion & Daisuke Sasuke) vs Dan the Dad & Kody Lane vs Shota & Mizuki Watase
A chaotic triple threat match to fire up the crowd. Shota and Watase work over Ilusion early while Lane and Dad the Dad hang back and sip coffee. Dan tagged in with his coffee and not spilling a drop…but Sasuke spews a tall boy beer into his face. Dad can’t believe what just happened but it opens him up to being double teamed. Ilusion rakes his eyes across the top rope (through his glasses somehow)! Ilusion with a Whazzzup style leg drop to the Dad’s jewels. Kody Lane is pretty much useless right now. Dad takes another swig of coffee and fires back up to get the tag to Lane! Springboard moonsault drops both TA members! Shota tagged in and Lane flips him into a face buster. Sick move. Sasuke getting beaten by Watase but Ilusion with a blindside is really showing the different between these three teams. Sasuke sets everyone up for Ilusion to his a trust fall into everyone! Dan and Lane with a Doomsday Tope Suicida into everyone! Backpack stunner to Shota for two! Hangman’s senton! Damnation TA in there! Ilusion with a swanton to Dan! Lane sent flying. Sasuke with a crossfire on Dan the Dad for the win!
Match 3: Antonio Honda vs Santana Jackson
Honda is wearing a singlet covered in strawberries but looking like a carnival strongman. Santana Jackson is the Michael Jackson wrestler you’ve probably seen on TikTok. Honda looks way too serious for this level of shenanigans. Jackson’s footwork is impressive and Honda cannot match it with injuring himself. Antonio is stuck in this dance with the pop king of wrestling, begging for a time out until he’s able to land a shot to the throat. Somehow a single stomp doesn’t get the win for Honda. What a shock! Honda tries some dusty punches but Jackson returns fire and landed a hard shot after temporarily applying a single bedazzled glove. Jackson sent to the floor, Honda tries a tope but his knees give out. He gets the mic and now he’s telling us a story about a fox going to Cesar’s Palace and accidentally winding up at a stripe club and/or brothel? What on earth is happening. Lol. It’s all a ruse that makes Jackson drop his guard and get laid out for a Memphis style fist drop. Jackson has disappeared under the ring….he’s back out with the Thriller gear and a wolf mask! The power of the werewolf is strong as Honda is dropped for the most electrifying elbow in professional pop star wrestling, setting up the Moonwalk DDT for the win! This was some delightfully goofy s***.
Match 4: 1 Called Manders(c) vs Yukio Naya (w/ Suzuki Watase) (for the WxW Unified World Championship)
This is a straight up meat match. You know what I’m saying. They test each other power for power, shoulder for shoulder, chop for chop. Naya is a little bit taller and a little bit wider and the champ is getting overwhelmed in Naya’s US debut. Manders starting to fight back, finally hitting stampede for two. Naya just outright blocks the big cowboy lariat and guts him. Manders blocks a running knee and they are trading open hand shots. Manders running for that lariat again but eats a chokeslam! Manders throws that arm again but Naya blocks it, Manders with the rebound and lands the big lariat! Naya is starched and takes the three. I enjoyed the hell out of this. Naya made a hell of an impression here and even the Boss of the Plains has to shake his hand and hold his arm up high. Very cool.
Match 5: Nick Wayne, Kazuma Sumi & Shunma Kastumata vs Marcus Mathers, Gringo Loco & Tyler Bateman
This is gonna go wild most likely. Shunma & Mathers kick this off and it’s like they are both looking in a mirror. Gringo and Sumi with a show of mutual respect before they get to flipping and flying and trying to out-sexy each other. Before this can get awesome, Nick Wayne tags himself in. Bingo understands and sends Bateman to murder this kid. Sumi tags himself back in before Wayne can get going and the dissension on this team is STRONG.Sumi gets caught in the beatdown and suddenly, Nick doesn’t want to tag in anymore I guess? He WILL go kick Mathers in the head to prevent a pin though. Shunma gets in there to help out Sumi and again, Wayne wants a piece. Good clash between Wayne and Mathers. Match is starting to break down and everyone’s trading shots in the middle. Triple dives to the floor from Team Wayne! Gringo and Mathers work together for a vaulting Stanton and an avalanche falcon arrow! The waterfall of big moves is flowing hard. Bateman tries a tombstone but Wayne head scissors free and lands the Wayne’s World cutter for the for the win! Good chaos!
Match 6: Shinya Aoki vs Timothy Thatcher
Both guys are known to be ruthless grapplers and this goes right into that chess match at the bell. Both guys going for submissions and sneaking quick pin attempts right in the middle, back and forth, counter for counter, this match is a twisting meat pretzel that refuses to break. Thatcher shows the first signs of joy as he starts manipulating and smashing those digits. Aoki starting to overpower the larger Thatcher and damn near keeping his shoulders to the mat through sheer force. Thatcher sent to the floor and this is the longest stretch these two haven’t been in direct contact the whole match. Tim is BIG MAD that he’s on the backpedal and he eats a tope from Aoki! Aoki goes for a piledriver but Thatcher reverses to one of his own. Aoki is spiked but kicks out! Shinya catches a Thatcher uppercut, snatches a full nelson, sweeps the legs and keeps Thatcher folded down for the three! Fantastic!
Match 7: Minoru Suzuki(c) vs Yoshihiko (for the DDT Universal Championship)
Yoshihiko is a 20-time DDT Heavymetalwight Champion coming out to Ministry Undertaker music. Also, in case you didn’t know….Yoshihiko is a sex doll. The actuality of this match is going to be Suzuki wrestling a sandbag….which is certain to be a 10000% improvement over the two Suzuki matches I watched yesterday…and we are all here for it. Back in wrestling fantasy world, Suzuki is bemused at the challenge from Yoshihiko. “Holy S***” chants the crowd. Suzuki slaps the crap out of the challenge and rag dolls them across the ring. Stomps to the back of the neck. “You sick F***!” A PK sends Yoshihiko end over end into the corner. Yoshihiko has no answer for this….until they almost roll up the champ! Suzuki is shocked! What just happened?!? Suzuki throwing stiff punches….Yoshihiko wraps on a guillotine choke! DDT! Suzuki rolls to the floor. YOshihiko flipping end over end out of the ring but Suzuki with his best Samoa Joe walk off. The champ slamming his challenger into the walls and chairs and posts. Yoshiihiko has gone limp, do they have ANYTHING left? The beating is so brutal the crowd is starting to turn on the Murder Grandpa. The camera snaps back to Yoshihiko and they’ve been BUSTED WIDE OPEN! The crimson mask pours down their face as they manage to get back into the ring. Suzuki just stomps their head flat and falls into a deep heel hook. Yoshihiko refuses to quit! Suzuki wraps the ankle around bottom rope several times as the referee begs him to show mercy! A Helluva kick….Yoshihiko snatches the leg and tries to submit Minoru! The champ BARELY makes the rope break! Yoshihiko grabs a fujiwara armbar! Is Suzuki gonna tap?!? He struggles to get a foot on the rope. The crowd is well behind Yoshihiko as they fight off a dip sleeper hold! Yoshihiko is crumbling! The arm fails to fall for the third time! Suzuki goes for the notch piledriver but Yoshihiko sandbags him! Yoshihiko with a spinning head scissor into a cross arm breaker!!! Suzuki back to the ropes! Yoshihiko to the top rope…..They try the head scissor again but Suzuki stops the spin, grabs the piledriver and spikes Yoshihiko for the three. F***ING EPIC. MATCH OF THE WEEKEND. BETTER THAN ANYTHING ON AEW THIS WEEK. BETTER THAN ANYTHING WWE WILL “TRY” TO DO SAT AND SUN. THIS RULED. FIGHT ME ON THIS. XD XD XD
Main Event: Konosuke Takeshita vs Mao
Takeshita & Mao are on different paths of wrestling independence that both started in DDT….Takeshita is 4-0 against Mao….can Mao FINALLY get one in the W column? Mao is trying….but Takeshita is just big manning him. Mao retreats to the outside seats after a powerbomb. He recomposes and comes back….and eats another powerbomb. Takeshita looks to be on an easy road to a fifth win. He grabs the neck and tries to grind Mao down. Mai finally sends Takeshita to the floor and an asai moonsault finally puts him on his back! Mao flies off the stage to drop Takeshita again! Mao with a running boot and a cannonball into the ropes! Mao pulls the ref into danger and the distraction allows for Mao to hit a cutter….but Takeshita smashes him back with a blue thunder bomb. Both guys down and trying to get back into it. Both guys throwing forearms back and forth! Mao connects with a backwards headbutt. A brain buster drops the both in exhaustion! Mao hits a pair of tornado kicks! Takeshita barely kicks out! A superkick drops Takeshita through the ropes to the floor. Mao tries to slam him to the apron but Takeshita drives him head first right into the hardest part of the ring. Takeshita drags him to the top….Mao with a head scissor counter! Takeshita with a huge lariat but Mao doesn’t even let that be a one count! Takeshita counters a phoenix splash! Running knee strike! Raging Fire! Mao finally stays down for the three in a wildly hard hitting main event clash!
