Mike Santana vs. Josh Alexander - I Quit Match
As announced earlier in the show, The Northern Armory are banned from ringside.
Mike Santana runs at Josh Alexander to start, but Alexander reads it and drags Santana down with his technical wrestling. Santana fights it off and sends Alexander to the outside. Santana tries to follow him out, but Alexander rolls back into the ring. He wants the match to be in the ring.
Santana gets into the ring and gets a little technical, but then sends Alexander back to the outside. Santana follows him out again, but Alexander is quick to get back into the ring. Santana calls Alexander a “bitch” and goes back into the ring. Alexander is quick to get on top of Santana, but Santana fights it off and hits a big boot. Santana sends Alexander to the outside and hits a dive.
Santana works over Alexander on the outside and hits a big boot. Santana gets a table from under the ring. He sets it up on the floor and sets Alexander up for a powerbomb. Alexander wiggles out, though, and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Alexander whips Santana into the steel steps, which Santana hits knee first. Alexander puts Santana on the apron and snaps his leg on the ring post. Alexander locks on the Figure Four Leglock around the ringpost. He breaks it and tries to send Santana into the ringpost. Santana blocks it and sends Alexander into it.
Santana is limping, but he tries to kick at Alexander. It’s caught. Alexander puts Santana’s leg on the apron and kicks it. The referee checks and Santana does not quit. Alexander continues to target the left knee on the outside and then rolls Santana into the ring. Alexander hits the Three Amigos. Santana reverses a whip, but is slow to attack because of his leg. When he does attack, Alexander lifts him over the top rope to the apron. Santana avoids Alexander, which sends Alexander to the floor. Santana goes into the ring as Alexander gets on the apron. Alexander catches Santana and slams him down on the apron. The referee checks and Santana does not quit.
Alexander rolls Santana back into the ring and hits him with some hard strikes. Santana briefly fights back, but Alexander hits a series of German Suplexes. Santana almost counters into a Rolling Buck Fifty, but Alexander pushes it off. Santana is able to strike Alexander into the corner, though, and hits a cannonball.
From behind, Santana lifts Alexander to the top rope. He tries to join Alexander up there, but Alexander strikes him off. Alexander goes for a moonsault, but Santana moves and hits a big strike. Alexander does not quit.
Santana goes for Spin the Block, but Alexander ducks and locks on the Ankle Lock. Santana does not quit. As Santana tries to escape the hold, his boot comes off. He stands and charges at Alexander. Alexander back body drops Santana over the top rope and through the set up table. Santana does not quit.
Alexander gets another table from under the ring and slides it into the ring. Alexander slides the ring steps into the ring, as well. He picks up Santana and slams him onto the broken table. Santana does not quit. Santana gets back into the ring and Alexander follows him in with a chair. Alexander stands on Santana’s injured leg and the referee checks on him. Santana won’t quit. Alexander hits Santana in the leg with the chair multiple times, but Santana will not quit. “There ain’t no quit in my blood,” Santana laughs.
Alexander attempts to zip tie Santana’s wrists, but Santana slaps him. Alexander gets pissed over that and starts raining down hard elbows. He takes off his elbow pad and hits Santana with more bone-on-bone elbows. Santana is busted open.
Alexander kicks at Santana. Santana tries to stand and go after Alexander, but his leg gives out. Alexander hits the C4 Spike, but Santana stands right up out of it. He’s fired up and goes after Alexander. He lifts Alexander to the top turnbuckle and hops up with him. He hits a top rope hurricanrana. He goes to the top rope again and hits a Frog Splash. Santana hits Spin the Block. It knocks off Alexander’s headgear. It also knocked out his mouth guard. Alexander does not quit.
Santana zip ties Alexander’s hands behind his back and hits Spin the Block. Alexander does not quit. Santana grabs the table and sets it up in the corner with Alexander underneath it. Santana jumps off of the steel steps that are in the ring and hits a Cannonball through the table onto Alexander. Alexander does not quit.
Santana gets a Slapjack from under the ring. He brings it into the ring and slaps Alexander with it multiple times in the midsection. Alexander is bleeding from the mouth, but he will not quit. He tells Santana, “You’ll never be the guy!” Santana sets up Alexander for a Curb Stomp on the steel steps and Alexander quits.
Winner: Mike Santana
Mike Santana grabs the microphone. He tells Josh Alexander to get up and face him like a man. He kept his word - now it’s time for Alexander to keep his word and shake Santana’s hand. Alexander shakes Santana’s hand and asks for the microphone. He says that Santana is the man. Alexander says that he quit tonight…but he quits TNA, too!
