Steel Cage Match: Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher w/Don Callis

Quick prediction: This match will be insane.

Both men start at the top of the cage, slugging it out. They fight on the floor, with Fletcher hitting a shoulder block. Ospreay responds with a rana, and they both try to ram each other into the cage. Fletcher delivers a lariat, followed by chops. Ospreay fires back with chops of his own. Ospreay hits a Stundog Millionaire, but Fletcher sends him into the cage. Ospreay starts bleeding. Fletcher rakes Ospreay’s face into the cage. The referee checks on Ospreay, but Fletcher continues with kicks.

Ospreay hits a flying forearm, followed by a backdrop and more chops. Fletcher's chest is now bleeding. Fletcher removes the padding from the turnbuckle, then hits a running kick. Ospreay retaliates by kicking Fletcher’s leg out from under him.

Ospreay follows with a bodyslam, and Fletcher is slumped. Ospreay climbs the turnbuckle, but Fletcher knocks him down. Ospreay nails a corkscrew for a two-count. Fletcher blocks the Stormbreaker, then delivers a powerbomb. Fletcher may be bleeding, but it could be Ospreay’s blood. Fletcher hits a series of kicks. Ospreay responds with elbow strikes and kicks, and they trade kicks. Ospreay hits a DDT, but Fletcher delivers a brainbuster for a two-count.

Mark Davis comes out and unlocks the cage. Ospreay kicks the door into Davis, then grabs a barbwire bat and rakes Fletcher’s head with it. Fletcher delivers a low blow, then feeds his own blood to Ospreay. Ospreay hits a Hidden Blade, followed by a Stormbreaker, but Fletcher kicks out at two. Davis breaks up the pin. Ospreay hits a poison rana, a back elbow to Davis, and an Oscutter for another two-count.

Ospreay wraps his arm with barbwire, but Fletcher grabs a screwdriver and stabs Ospreay. Ospreay responds with a brainbuster, but Fletcher counters with a brainbuster onto a chair for a two-count.

Fletcher introduces thumbtacks into the ring. Ospreay hits a Styles Clash onto the tacks for a two-count. They climb the cage, with the screwdriver still in play. Ospreay nails Fletcher, then hits a Spanish Fly off the top. Ospreay follows with a Hidden Blade and a Tiger Driver '91 to finally secure the win.

WINNER: WILL OSPREAY

 

AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley vs. Cope

Moxley flips Cope the middle finger, and they start trading punches. Cope goes down. They continue trading punches on their knees, then get back to their feet and slug it out. A clothesline sends Moxley to the floor. Cope hits a backdrop, and both men are down on the floor. Moxley sends Cope into the barricade.

Back in the ring, Moxley applies a neck crank, then struts around the ring. He stomps on Cope, rakes his eyes, and kicks his neck. Moxley delivers a knee to the back, followed by a cutter for a two-count.

The crowd is watching intently. A DDT by Cope, followed by a sunset flip for a two-count. Cope hits a suplex for another two-count and locks in a crossface.

The crowd is quiet—perhaps they're burned out or waiting for what we expect to be a post-match surprise. Action spills back to the floor. Cope delivers a backdrop. Moxley hits a kick followed by a stomp. Back in the ring, Moxley scores a two-count. Moxley hits a piledriver for another two-count. He locks in a choke, but it takes a while before Cope reaches the ropes.

Moxley grabs a chair. Cope accidentally nails the referee after attempting a roll-up. Moxley throws in two more chairs. Cope delivers an upkick that knocks one of the chairs out of Moxley’s hands. Both men are down after a double clothesline.

Wheeler Yuta runs down and nails Cope with a Busaiku knee. Jay White makes the save but accidentally hits Cope with the title belt briefcase. Cope kicks out at two. Cope hits a spear for a two-count, followed by two more spears, but Moxley kicks out each time.

Christian Cage pulls the referee out of the ring and signs the contract. We now have a triple-threat match! Cage hits a spear on Moxley for a two-count. Moxley locks in a bulldog choke on Cage, and Cage passes out.

WINNER AND STILL AEW WORLD CHAMPION: JON MOXLEY

What the hell just happened? This is NOT the way AEW should be going off the air.

Prince Nana confronts Moxley, and Swerve Strickland attacks him, diving from above..

We cut to credits. AEW has a lot to answer for after this main event.
