COMPLETE WRESTLECON MARK HITCHCOCK MEMORIAL SUPERSHOW COVERAGE FROM LAS VEGAS

By Mike Johnson on 2025-04-17 21:00:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of Wrestlecon's 2025 Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow live from The Palms in Las Vegas!

Tonight's event is streaming on Highspots.TV!

Curt Adonis opened the show welcoming everyone and said tonight is a tribute to Mark.  His sister is here and Hitchock's family is so happy to see so many fans here.  They honored Mark by playing a tribute video.

Vega Scott and Nick Knowledge are the announcing team tonight!

We are opening with the mystery lucha tag.

Arez & Latigo & Bendito & Canis Lupus & Toxin vs. Gravity & Gravity & Spider Fly & Aero Panther & Fight Panther & El Vengador.

The crowd chanted for "Lucha" and "Holy crap."  There are a LOT of luchadors here.  I am going to have a hard time keeping up who is who!  Lots of fast paced action early.  Arez looked strong early on.  Gravity tagged in and faced off with Toxin.  Gravity did his slow motion outspace walk.  Toxin nailed a series of elbows but Gravrity escaped and hit a lucha takedown that sent Toxin to the floor.  Gravity faked a dive to play mind games.  Spider Fly and Latigo tagged in.  Fly nailed some kicks but was drilled with a hard chop to the chest.  Fly hit a springboard into a takedown on Lupus.  He went to do the same to Bendito but was taken down and worked over.

Team Arez controlled the ring.and stomped away on Gravity.  Lots of big dives from the Panthers and Spider Fly, among others.  Lots and lots of multi-person maneuvers and combinations.  They all went for suplexes with additional members of each team getting involved to set up one final multi-person suplex in sync together...but instead Arez and Fly battled atop of the other's back, hitting a twisting suplex atop the pile.  They followed up with lots of moonsaults to the outside.  The battled continued with Lupis being sent to the floor by Aero Panther.  Gly was attacked and worked over and finally pinned.

Your winners, Arez & Latigo & Bendito & Canis Lupus & Toxin!

Super fun lucha match.

Sean Mooney was introduced as a special guest.  He entered the ring and took the ring mic.  Mooney got a positive response.  He thanked everyone for supporting Wrestlecon and honoring Mark Hitchcock who was a good friend to Wrestlecon.  He said he walked through WrestleCob and couldn't believe everyone that was there.  He plugged the Wrestlemania IX documentary panel Saturday at The World.

Ninja Mack vs. Mascara Dorada.

Ninja got the crowd behind him with chants, but then others chanted for Dorada.  They locked up but no one gained the advantage.  They locked up again and this time, Mack worked over Dorada's arrm.   Dorada reversed and Mack fought his way out.  Mack walked on his feet to go for a handstand takedown.  Dorada escaped and went for his own, impressing even Mack with the move.  They went for a test of strength.  They battled to the top while holding onto each other.  Dorada nailed a top rope rana but Ninja landed on his feet.  They each scrambled to try and pin the other before facing off.  They each traded pump kicks, sending Dorado to the floor.  Mack went for a flipping dive to the outside but Dorado avoided it and there was no water in the pool.  Dorade then hit a dive to the floor.

They battled up to the entrance stage.  Dorada teased a move onto the stairs down to the floor but Mack escaped.  Dorada used a tiltowhirl takedown to send him down the stairs.  He then hit a dive off the stage, over the fans, to nail Mack.  Pretty crazy.  Dorada nailed a springboard into a sunset flip.  They exchanged pinfalls.  Dorada nailed some stiff kicks.  Mack caught him with a sit-out powerbomb for a two count.  .Mack missed a top rope twisting move.  Dorada nailed a running facebuster and ascended to the top for a  shooting star press for the pin.

Your winner, Mascara Dorada!

Another fun match.  The stuff on the stage was great.

Lucky 7 Sin City Scramble Match: Super Crazy vs. TJP vs. Cheeseburger vs. Mike D Vecchio vs. Vaughn Vertigo vs. 1 Called Manders vs. ???

The competitors drew numbers for their entrance and there can only be a finish after all seven have entered the bout.  At that point, the first person to capture a fall is the victor.

The first competitors are Vaughn Vertigo and TJP.  They battled back and forth with some nice acton.

Competitor #3 was Super Crazy.  The crowd was super behind him.

The next competitor was Mike D Vecchio, The European Beast.  The battle continued.

The 1 Called Manders was next and came out to Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead or Alive, making him a big babyface to me.  The crowd kept singing the song after they stopped it.  That was awesome.  Manders, the reigning WXW Champion in Europe, battled with Mike D.  Mike D hit a shooting star from the top to the floor.  Crazy hit a dive.

Next out was the world renowned Cheeseburger!   Big reaction for him.  He and Mike D went right after each other, hitting forearms.   CB nailed a nice superkick and the Liger palm thrust.  Vertigo ate one.  He nailed Manders but it didn't have much effect, so he nailed another rebounding off the ropes and THAT did the trick.  CB vs. TJP.

Out next was the mystery competitor, Danhausen, who got a MASSIVE reaction.  He tried to curse CB but CB fought it off.  Incredible fortitude that man has.    Danhausen battled with Vertigo and Mike D.  He then avoided a Manders charge and hit a back suplex.  Vertigo had teeth poured in his mouth and was kicked in the face.  Danhausen scored the pin.

Your winner, Danhausen!

Matt Riddle vs. Matt Mako.

The crowd entertained themselves with Matt chants "Let's Go Matt", "Both these Matts", "Matt Forever."  You gotta love it.

Riddle and Mako played off it perfectly then locked up and went back and forth with some grappling on the mat.  Mako took Riddle's back but Riddle got to his feet, then the ropes.  They faced off and then fired away with hard chops.  Riddle dropped to his knee from the force of one. Mako took him down with a rolling cross armbreaker but Riddle was able to use his legs to snatch the ropes.  Riddle began to get more serious after this.  He nailed a fisherman's buster for a two count.

It broke down into a slugfest as they exchanged forearms and punches.  Riddle used a hanging armbar over the ropes.  They battled back and forth until Riddle scored the pin.

Your winner Matt Riddle!

Good.
