Countdown to Genesis
Gia Miller is sitting at a table at the top of the ramp with Tommy Dreamer, Mark Henry, and Dave LaGreca from Busted Open Radio to kick off Countdown to Genesis. All three men are given individual introductions by Gia Miller and hype up the crowd with kind words about the show.
Joe Hendry is shown arriving earlier in the day.
Nic Nemeth is shown arriving earlier in the day.
Jordynne Grace is shown arriving earlier in the day.
Tessa Blanchard is shown arriving earlier in the day.
Tommy Dreamer, Dave LaGreca, and Mark Henry talk about the Jordynne Grace/Tess Blanchard match. They talk about how it’s a match filled with personal issues and that it will be physical.
Jordynne Grace is in the back. She talks about how she wanted to be Tessa Blanchard at one point in the past. However, Blanchard ruined all of that with her actions. No one wants Blanchard in TNA, so Grace is going to beat her and send her back into obscurity.
Tommy Dreamer, Dave LaGreca, and Mark Henry continue to talk about the Jordynne Grace/Tessa Blanchard match. They make their predictions on the match. They all, including Gia Miller, pick Jordynne Grace to win.
The panel switches gears to talk about Spitfire vs. Ash and Heather by Elegance for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships. Tommy Dreamer talks about how he didn’t appreciate The Personal Concierge trying to give him fashion tips. He thinks The Personal Concierge might be the difference maker in tonight’s match. Dave LaGreca is wearing an Ash by Elegance shirt and picks The Elegances to win. Mark Henry and Gia Miller pick Spitfire to win.
A video package for the TNA Knockouts World Title match between Masha Slamovich vs. Rosemary in a Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match airs.
Gia Miller talks about how this will be the first Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match featuring only women.
Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt are sitting ringside and talk about the partnership announcement between TNA and NXT. They talk about the excitement about the announcement and tease some possible NXT involvement tonight.
Ariana Grace interrupts Gia Miller and the Busted Open Radio men. She is thrilled to be at Genesis and is willing to take all responsibility and credit for the partnership between TNA and NXT. The relationship is built upon respect, talent, and a little bit of drama. She says that so many of her besties are here tonight.
Right on cue…Ashante “Thee” Adonis comes out. He talks about how he is the main attraction on NXT as he walks to the ring. Adonis is here to kick off the partnership between TNA and NXT. He issues an Open Challenge to anyone in the back. Jake Something is quick to answer the call.
WWE NXT's Ashante “Thee” Adonis vs. Jake Something
Ashante Adonis goes on the attack quickly and rains down punches on Jake Something in the corner. Something shakes it off and hits a series of tackles. Adonis gets up and slaps Something. Something answers with a huge forearm. Adonis blocks a German Suplex and hits a big dropkick. He then rains down punches and clubs Something in the back.
Something shakes it off and hits a series of short clotheslines in the corner. Adonis is sent into the ropes and is able to come off with a leaping attack. He then clubs Something down on the mat. In the corner, Adonis drives his shoulder into Something’s midsection multiple times. Something is able to shake off the attack and hits a big shoulder of his own in the corner, followed by a couple of clotheslines and a corner attack. Adonis gets a boot up on a second corner attack and climbs the ropes. He leaps off, but is met by a big punch to the face in mid-air. Something hits Into the Void for the win!
Winner: Jake Something
A video package airs for the TNA World Title match between Nic Nemeth and Joe Hendry.
Gia Miller and Busted Open Radio bring up The System. They talk about Moose defending the T
NA X-Division Title, along with Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards taking on Steve Maclin and Eric Young. They are interrupted by Moose and JDC. Moose doesn’t want to hear them talk. He is carrying around the new TNA X-Division Title in a bag. JDC says he feels like talking and will be doing commentary for the next match.
Gia Miller and Busted Open Radio talk about the TNA Tag Team Championship match between The Hardys and The Rascalz. Dave LaGreca picks The Rascalz to win. Mark Henry picks The Hardys. Tommy Dreamer talks about how cool it is for The Rascalz to wrestle their idols - just like he did in ECW.

The Rascalz are in the back and are HYPED after seeing the video package. They are also hyped to wrestle The Hardys. It’s a dream come true.
Gia Miller and Busted Open Radio talk more about the TNA Tag Team Title match. Gia Miller is pretty hyped, as well. Dave LaGreca is very serious about The Rascalz winning and Gia Miller eventually agrees. Tommy Dreamer picks The Hardys to win due to their experience and the support of the fans.
Frankie Kazarian vs. Leon Slater
They circle and lock up. Frankie Kazarian hits a quick arm drag and celebrates. They lock up again and Kazarian hits a quick bodyslam. He celebrates again. Kazarian turns around and gets hit with an arm drag and a bodyslam in return. Slater avoids a running attack and dances. Kazarian runs at Slater again, which Slater avoids and counters with a leaping attack. Slater hits a monkey flip. He goes for another one, but Kazarian catches him and sits him on the top rope. Kazarian breaks clean, but then pushes Slater off of the ropes - sending him to the floor.
Kazarian goes to the outside, as well. He punches Slater and sends him back into the ring. Kazarian then hits a slingshot leg drop for a two count. Kazarian hits a punch in the corner and then whips Slater into the corner. Kazarian follows that up with a Side Russian Leg Sweep for a two count. Slater briefly fights back, but eats a kick and a couple of clubs to the back. Kazarian hits a neckbreaker for a two count.
Kazarian slams Slater down and hits a rope assisted leg drop and then slaps on a headlock on the mat. Slater fights out of it, but Kazarian grabs him. Slater flips out of two belly-to-back suplexes and blocks a corner attack. Slater uses his speed to hit a running, leaping kick. He follows that up with another running kick in the corner. Slater hits the Crossover Crossbody off of the top rope for a two count.
Kazarian fights out of Slater’s grasp and goes for the Chicken Wing. Slater wiggles out and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Slater goes to the top rope. Kazarian tries to knock him off, but Slater reads it. Slater drops down to the mat, but Kazarian reads that and hits a leg drop with Slater’s head poking between the ropes. Kazarian hits a slingshot cutter for a two count.
Kazarian goes for the Chicken Wing again, but Slater counters it with a roll up for a two count. Kazarian goes for Fade to Black, but Slater is able to roll him up again. Kazarian kicks out, but eats a boot. Kazarian rolls to the outside. Slater goes for a dive, but Kazarian moves. Slater is able to stop his momentum and hit a dive over the ringpost instead.
JDC, still doing commentary, yells at Slater about how he has to win it in the ring. Thanks to that distraction, Slater is slow to climb to the top rope. Once he does, though, he leaps off, but eats the knees of Kazarian. Kazarian rolls Slater up for the win!
Winner: Frankie Kazarian
A video package airs for the I Quit Match between Mike Santana and Josh Alexander.
Gia Miller and Busted Open Radio talk about the I Quit Match. They are expecting this to be an intense match. Dave LaGreca believes that this is Mike Santana’s time.
A Joe Hendry video package airs. It covers his climb to tonight’s TNA World Title match.
Gia Miller and Busted Open Radio talk about what they are looking forward to the most tonight. Mark Henry is looking forward to the TNA World Title match. Dave LaGreca is looking forward to the I Quit Match. Gia Miller is looking forward to the Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match. Tommy Dreamer is also looking forward to the Clockwork Orange House of Fun. He is not a fan of the match being inspired by Raven, though.
Joe Hendry is in the back. Tonight, he gets to prove that he truly is the face of TNA. Everyone will believe.
Nic Nemeth is in the back. He knows everyone believes. Nemeth knows how good he is, though, and knows what it takes to be on top…and stay on top. Nemeth will prove why he’s the best tonight.
Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt provide the final hype, running down the card, before the PPV officially starts. The I Quit Match has a last second change - The Northern Armory are banned from ringside.
TNA Genesis PPV Coverage
McKenzie Mitchell is back in TNA and the ring announcer for tonight. She introduces Camryn Wright, who sings the national anthem.
A hype video for the PPV airs.
TNA X-Division Champion Moose with JDC and Alisha Edwards vs. Ace Austin
Moose wore his new TNA X-Division Championship during his entrance.
Ace Austin goes on the attack right away after the bell rings. Moose briefly fights it off, but Austin hits a rolling leg sweep. He hits a strike on Moose, sending Moose to the outside. Austin goes to the apron and gets his kick caught by Moose. Austin is able to counter it into a different kick attack, though. Austin drops down to the floor to go after Moose, but Moose cuts off Austin’s momentum by clawing at his face. Moose then whips Austin hard into the barricade twice. Moose runs at Austin, but Austin moves - sending Moose into the barricade.
Austin tries to lift Moose into the ring, but can’t get it done. He then tries to suplex Moose on the outside, but Moose blocks it. Moose kicks Austin in the face and goes for a suplex of his own. Austin reverses it, though, and is able to hit a suplex. Austin sends Moose back into the ring and hops onto the apron. JDC distracts him, so Austin kicks him. Austin goes for a springboard move, but Moose is able to catch him on the top rope (thanks to the JDC delay). Moose chokeslams Austin, who was standing on the top rope, onto the apron. Austin falls hard to the floor, as well. The referee starts his count.
Austin barely beats the ten count. Moose goes on the attack right away and hits a chop in the corner. He hits a second chop, which drops Austin to the mat. Moose misses a third chop, though, and Austin hits a flurry of chops and kicks. Moose cuts off Austin’s comeback with a uranage.
Moose sets up for a powerbomb, but Austin wiggles out. Austin hits a series of short clotheslines and catches a pump kick from Moose. Austin rolls Moose up, but Moose kicks out and hits a pump kick. Austin rolls through a running attack and hits a Side Russian Leg Sweep. Austin hits Click Click Boom. Austin avoids Moose again and hits a spinning, rope assisted kick and another leaping attack for a two count.
Austin goes for The Fold, but Moose fights it off. Austin tries to come off of the second rope, but Moose grabs him and hits Go to Hell for a two count. Both men are slow to get up. When they do, they exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. Moose hits a headbutt and catches a kick. He flips Austin over the top rope, but Austin lands on the apron. Austin’s springboard move is caught again, but Austin is able to counter this time with a leaping attack. The attack sends Moose to the opposite side apron. Austin jumps over the top rope and hits a headscissors on Moose. As the referee was checking on Moose, JDC sends Austin into the ringpost.
Moose recovers and runs around the ring. He tries to Spear Austin, but Austin moves and Moose hits JDC instead. Austin hits The Fold on the floor and rolls Moose back into the ring. Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers run out, but Austin sees it. He hits a dive on them. Austin springboards back into the ring, but is hit with a Spear in mid-air. Austin kicks out at two!
Moose sets up for another Spear. Austin avoids it and rolls up Moose. Moose kicks out and goes for a uranage. Austin reverses it into a roll up. Moose kicks out. Austin goes for the Art of Finesse, but Moose Spears him in the back. Moose hits another Spear for the win!
Winner and STILL TNA X-Division Champion: Moose
After the match, all of The System enter the ring and start to surround Ace Austin. Steve Maclin and Eric Young come out and make the save. The System members all roll out of the ring. Maclin and Young hit dives on Edwards and Myers. This flows into the scheduled tag team match…
