Chris Jericho (Ring of Honor Champion) vs Bandido - Title vs Mask match
Jericho goes for a codebreaker at the bell and keeps trying for a quick pin. He hits each big move glaring at Bandido’s family. Bandido dodges a kick from Jericho into a headstand and then starts with high spot attacks. In the ring, Bandido gets a one-handed stalling vertical suplex and Bandido counts to 70, steadying Jericho with his second hand, and covers for two.
The fight on the apron and Jericho is able to hit a power bomb on Bandido from the apron to the floor. Jericho takes the camera to mock Bandido’s family. The referee starts the count, and in Ring of Honor it’s a count of 20. Bandido gets into the ring at 15.
Jericho slows the pace hitting big moves and Bandido is able to recover and they throw hands. Anytime Jericho gets a big move, he mocks Bandido’s family, which allows Bandido to retaliate. The pace of the match slows WAY down as Jericho is able to counter Bandido’s moves until he gets the Walls locked in on Bandido. Bandido crawls to the ropes and Jericho jacks his jaw at the ref.
Bandido gets a big kick and both men are down. Bryan Keith comes to the ring to yell at the ref and Gravity pulls him down. As the ref is distracted, Jericho pulls out his bat and nails Bandido. Jericho slowly gets the cover for the pin and the win.
Winner and still Ring of Honor World Champion: Chris Jericho
After the match, Aubrey Edwards is talking to Bandido’s family and they go over the barricade with her and show Aubrey where the bat was hidden. The referees rule the match must continue. Jericho grabs Bandido’s little sister. Bandido pulls him off, hits the 21 Plex for the pin and the win.
Winner and New Ring of Honor World Champion: Bandido
Not a fan of these types of finishes, because it makes me wonder why they don’t do it every time the heel cheats to win. The crowd eats it up and Bandido and his family embrace in the middle of the ring.
Daniel Garcia (TNT Champion) vs Adam Cole - No time limit, no interference.
Lots of strikes and kicks to start the match. Not a lot in the way of wrestling holds. Early on, Cole leaps off the apron and starts selling the ankle. Garcia then goes right after the ankle. Garcia also showboats a bit as he is working it over.
When Cole tries for a Panama Sunrise early on, they reverse moves on each other until Cole gets a roll up for two. After Garcia drops the knee pad, they throw hands again. Garcia gets a big kick and Cole drops. Garcia drops onto him for two, and then Cole rolls Garcia up for two.
Garcia grabs an ankle lock to keep on Cole’s ankle and keeps on the ankle, even getting a Panama Sunrise of his own and then slamming Cole’s ankle into the mat over and over. Cole is able to reverse an attack on the top, hits a Panama Sunrise and then a Boom Knee for the pin and the win.
Winner and New TNT Champion: Adam Cole
After the match, Cole offers a hand and Garcia shakes it.
They both tried hard in this match and told a good story, but the crowd was not into this at all until the win. I find that odd, since the match had a lot of juice going into it, and they told a great story, but it just didn’t connect for some reason.
Kenny Omega (AEW International Champion) vs. Ricochet vs. "Speedball" Mike Bailey
Taz rejoins commentary and Nigel tags out.
Omega and Bailey start the match, and Ricochet is outside the ring — he’ll be trying to pick the bones like a heel should do. Ricochet comes in to run the ropes with Bailey when Omega is tossed out of the ring. Omega takes him out, and that pattern continues. They do a great bit where Ricochet tries to dive onto them, and they dodge and nail Ricochet in the head repeatedly like Okada did a few weeks ago.
They all move to fighting on the barricade, and Ricochet hits a Death Valley Driver on Bailey onto Omega. Ricochet takes advantage and works over Bailey in the ring. When Omega recovers, he saves Bailey so he can go after Ricochet. Ricochet is able to get a neckbreaker on Omega and a DDT on Bailey in a single move. Looked really cool.
Ricochet dives onto both of them one after the other, but Bailey recovers, and it’s back to Bailey and Ricochet in the ring. When Omega hits the ring, they each get a moment when they grab the other two in a pin for two. That brought the crowd back after they checked out during the Jericho match and sat on their hands through Garcia and Cole.
We go back to Omega and Bailey fighting, with Ricochet trying to pick the bones. It’s then time for dives, and each of them gets a big dive onto the other two. Bailey stacks Ricochet onto Omega and gets the moonsault knee strike onto them both. Bailey beats Ricochet out of the ring and then follows him to the floor, leaving Omega dazed in the ring.
Bailey goes for the moonsault knees, but Ricochet moves out of the way, and Bailey is hurt. Ricochet then hits Bailey with a chop block and moves to the ring to fight Omega. All three men end up on top, and Bailey hits a poisonrana from the top on Ricochet.
This is nuts.
From here, Omega takes over. He hits dragon suplexes over and over, and then hits a dragon suplex on both at the same time. Then Omega hits V-Triggers. Omega hits another dragon suplex on Ricochet as Ricochet gets out of the One-Winged Angel. Bailey hits the ring and gets a backslide, with Ricochet helping with feet on the ropes, but Omega kicks out at two.
Ricochet starts mocking Omega, and Omega dumps him to the floor. Bailey hits his big kicks and goes for the Ultimate Weapon, but misses and his knees give out. Omega grabs a kneebar, and Ricochet hits a 450 on Omega for two. Ricochet keeps going for finishers on Bailey as Omega is recovering. Omega drags Ricochet to the floor, and Bailey keeps going for pins on Omega, but his knee buckles.
Ricochet gets another 450 on Omega for two. Ricochet then tries the same thing on Bailey, who gets his knees up for a two-count, but his knee is causing so much pain he’s screaming. Ricochet works over Bailey’s knee. Bailey sets for a Crane Kick and takes out Ricochet. From the second rope, he hits the Ultimate Weapon for two, and Omega breaks it up with a V-Trigger. Ricochet and Bailey fight on the top, and Omega is able to grab Ricochet into the One-Winged Angel from the second rope for the pin and the win.
Winner and still International Champion: Kenny Omega
Just a fantastic match. The match showed each wrestler’s personality, told a great story, and took the crowd on a roller coaster.
As Kenny kneels to recover, Kazuchika Okada’s music hits and he marches to the ring. They go face to face, and Omega leaves the ring.
