Welcome to my WrestleMania 41 Night Two blog. I hope tonight can live up to last night.
During the walk up they cheered for Cody Rhodes and booed Bianca Belair. She has nothing but a babyface in the whole feud and she gets booed. That's not a good look for the people doing the booing.
We open up with Stephanie McMahon-Levesque. She said that the last time WWE was in Las Vegas for Mania she was sixteen years old. Tonight, her middle daughter is 16. She said WWE is family and welcome to WrestleMania and off went the pyro.
Iyo Sky defends her Title against Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair.
The champ is out first. They have played her as being an afterthought and she is out first. Argh. She got a good reaction. Bianca is out next. She has a dance team, with long braids. She hugged her stepdaughter, who was in the entourage, on the way out. Nice touch. And of course Iyo came out first because Rhea Ripley came out last. She came out to a massive pop. I hope the reason people are booing Bianca, however misguided, is because they love Rhea and not something more egregious.
On the intros, Bianca got a mixed reaction. Ugh. Rhea got a massive reaction. Iyo got a really good reaction too.
Bianca and Rhea tried to pie-faced Iyo at the start and she was ready and stopped them. Lots of action and big moves early on.
Cole pointed out it's a lot warmer today in the stadium than it was yesterday. That's true. It's almost 10 degrees warmer today.
The fans are booing Bianca and she is embracing it. The announcers are wondering how they could boo the great stuff she is doing.
It was all action from the start. They are going 100 miles an hour and the fans love it. The fans also love Iyo and the great stuff she is doing.
There is so much great stuff going on. I don't envy Richard trying to cover it all.
The finish saw Bianca have it won with a KOD on Rhea when Iyo hit the Over The Moonsault and grab the pin on Bianca.
The story was that the afterthought retained, which I liked. She got massive pops from the crowd.
All three women were amazing and got the show off to a great start.
Flavor Flav is in the house. Hope Mike Johnson gets to say hi. There is a UFC champ. Rich The Kid is there with his kid.
Drew McIntrye vs. Damien Priest in a Sin City Street Fight.
These two have been beating the snot out of each other for a month now. This should be STIFF.
Drew has on some cool armor. Apparently he was Doom Slayer. You know I have no idea. He got a great reaction from the crowd. Then he took off the armor. I would have left it on. Priest came out to Slayer's Kerry King playing him out. Cool stuff.
Priest took in the crowd and Drew went to the floor and let him. The bell rang and off they go.
Priest got a big pop for grabbing a table but Drew stopped him. I always laugh at that. These guys are beating the crap out of each other, enjoy that. The table will come.
Drew is awesome. He had Priest beaten down when he grabbed a phone from his brother and took a selfie. Love it. He is pounding Priest. Then Drew went for a table and got a pop.
Drew just did a flip over the top rope to the floor, wiping out Priest!
Priest try to come back by throwing a chair at Drew's face but Drew only took a glancing shot, grabbed the chair and beat on him. He put a chair around Priest's head but ran into South Of Heaven, two count only. Priest then went to town on Drew with the chair. He got a two with a Razor's Edge from the top through a table and got a two.
Drew's back is bloody. He got a two with a Future Shock DDT on the ring steps. They are killing themselves. The fans are chanting that it's awesome, and it is.
They are back up and they are throwing bombs at each other.
Priest went to the rope and did Old School but Drew pushed him off and he went through two tables on the floor. This is great!
Drew set Priest up in the corner and put a chair on his head. He then hit a running Claymore to get the win.
These guys are way more man than I will ever be or ever was. There is no way that don't feel this one for a while.
After the match, Drew got on the steps in the ring and had the ref raise his arm, to a big pop.
