Time for Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens. They came out with the titles.
Owens had another parody shirt mocking Cody, claiming Owens was the son of the security systems technician.
They brawled right out of the gate into the aisle and the crowd. Fun stuff. They took drinks from the crowd and smashed each other. Owens smashed Cody into a cameraman's camera. They battled back into the ringside area. Cody was hiptossed onto a ladder on the floor.
They announced this was the third largest gate in WWE history and there are over 70,000 fans there. That's pretty impressive.
Owens took control and slammed Cody into the announcers' table. He bridged a ladder from the tabl to the ring. Cody fired back and sent him into the ring steps.
Cody set up a ladder but Owens attacked his leg and slammed him on another ladder.
Rhodes was able to fight back and almost made it to the ropes but Owens pulled him off the ladder, leaving him dangling in the air.
Owens sent Rhodes into the ladder, again controlling the match. Cody tried to pull a ladder out from underneath but Owens slammed him backwards into the guard rail.
They battled back into the ring, where Cody broke a piece of the ladder off and beat Kevin with it until being caught with a superkick. Owens mocked Dusty as he clubbered the champ. Owens sent him into a ladder. Owens went for a piledriver but Cody backdropped Owens onto a ladder in the rudest way ever.
Cody set up a ladder. This has been very good. He climbed up but Owens caught him with a powerbomb onto another ladder. Evil.
They battled back and forth and fought to the corner. Cody teased a superplex off the top onto a ladder but Owens blocked it and turned it into a fisherman's buster across the ladder. This looked awesome and Cody was completely down and out. A bunch of officials ran out. Sami Zayn showed up to check on Owens. Owens finally went for Cody but was hit with CrossRhodes. Owens was attacked on the floor and Cody bloodied him, beating him down on the announcer's table while screaming that this is what Owens wanted. Sami was still at ringside but Owens didn't need the help. He lowblowed Cody and went for a package piledriver.
Cody blocked him and nailed an Alabama Jam off the table, through a ladder, which looked insane. As everyone checked on Owens, Cody climbed the ladder and removed the titles, winning the match.
Excellent fight.

Real fun, gritty bout. If you are going to argue they did way too much, you wouldn't be wrong. They were trying to create something with true grit and absolutely put their bodies on the line well above the call of duty tonight.
