Noelle Foley is in the house.
Next up is the Wrestlemania DEBUT of Jacob Fatu as he challenges LA Knight for the United States Championship.
Solo came out with Jacob but did not head to the ring. You can sense the star power when he comes out.
LA Knight drove up in a super fancy car. He got a big reaction.
Knight nailed a good looking neckbreaker early but Fatu just monstrously controlled him and hit a big Samoan Drop. Lots of Fatu chants live. He elevated Knight and dropped him across the top rope and had the most evil smile on his face. I love it. Knight hit a leaping knee through the ropes to the floor. Fatu fought back and went for another Samoan Drop. Knight countered and drilled him to the mat. Fatu was sent into the corner and nailed his head above the buckles. Knight worked over Fatu in the corner. The crowd sure loves yelling YEAH for Knight.
Knight nailed a top rope elbow for a near fall. Fatu went for the moonsault but was crotched on the top. No babies tonight. Knight tried to set up a back superplex but was shoved off. He looked great in getting back up there and hitting it for a CLOSE two count that woke up Vegas. At that point, they were far more into the bout. Fatu wiped him out with multiple hip attacks in the corner, then a swanton for a CLOSE pinfall. This is getting better by the sequence.
This kept getting better and better as Fatu was creating all sorts of madness and trashing Knight. Fatu scored the pin with his moonsault and it was a glorious moment. Everyone has been waiting since he was on California indies to see Fatu achieve and seize his destiny and tonight, he finally did.
Haku came to the ringside area to congratulate Fatu.
I loved this. It was one of Knight's better performances of late too. They should be proud of this one.
